The farm of former racist white-power leader Ian Smith has been seized by Zimbabwe’s government.
Mr Smith led Rhodesia, as Zimbabwe was known, when its forces battled Joshua Nkomo’s and Robert Mugabe’s guerrillas in the 1970s.
Eventhough most white-owned land in Zimbabwe have been confiscated for redistribution to black farmers since 2000, Mr Smith’s farm, known as Gwenoro, had been left alone.
In what many across Africa will see as the ultimate payback, the Zimbabwean government under their leader Mr Mugabe have finally ordered the seizure of Gwenoro.
Gwenoro:
Gwenoro was perhaps the most symbolic of all Zimbabwe’s white-owned farms. It was the home of their white-power supremacy in Africa. A reminder of by-gone years, when they lorded it over the natives.
Mr Smith himself was an odious racist, so entrenched in his negative ideology that even the “mother country” Britain was embraced finally into taking action. Britain cut ties with him and pressured the white power-supremacist government of Rhodesia into accepting the principle of major rule, leading to the emergence of Robert Mugabe’s government.
Cecil Rhodes after whom the country was then named was another hate-driven racist agent of the imperialist forces from the west that jointly decimated Africa. Rhodes acted under the authorization of the Royal House of England and the great Banks and trading companies. He led expeditions that left Africans landless and resource less in their own home continent.
Rhodes had dreamed of perpetual white-power dominance in southern Africa, but especially in Rhodesia and Northern Rhodesia where he exercised influence.
All that came to naught thanks to the dogged persistence of the local Zimbabweans and the spirited support offered by Africans globally, those racist intentions were crushed and uprooted out of existence.
Gwenoro was thus one of the last relics of those sad times. Gwenoro was the home of the fervent disciple of Cecil Rhodes, Mr Ian Smith. Gwenoro was where Mr Smith bred cattle and lived for most of his adult life, even after he lost power in 1979.
Gwenoro was where his remains were left. His ashes were scattered there after he died in 2007.
Now the Zimbabwean owners of the land have taken their resource back pursuant to the Lancaster agreement that brought peace to Zimbabwe.
The family farm is back again to the African family.
The farm has been handed over to a local technical college. Many inspired African youths will be trained there. They will help to reconstruct a greater and better Africa of tomorrow. They will wipe away all tears and sad memories. They will build a happier world.

Robert Mugabe is the greatest African leader today.He is a very courageous and nationalist President.He resisted and challenge UK, USA imperialism in Zimbabwe.The white European invaders stole the land, mine and other from the native Zimbabwean.They exploited the Zinbabwean by paying them slave wages.It is fair for President Mugabe to take back the lands and mines that have been stolen by the white people ancester and give it back to their original owner this is JUSTICE.
White people own most of the world wealth.They own the land and mines in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Latin America,Russian-Asia, New Zealand Hawai etc Black African need to own something to .AFRICA FOR THE AFRICAN.It doesnt matter who Mugabe give the land to as long black people own it and develop it.
President Robert Mugabe deserve some international prize for taking care of its people.I feel like building a statue for him.Robert Mugabe is a role model for African leader.The Western imperialist media want to destroy is image with lie and disinformation.Long live Mugabe.God bless Robert Mugabe.

I want proof that mugabe does not oppress black people. I still do not understand what direction he wants to give to zimbabwe. He's old and what will happen after him? it seems that when he dies the zimbabwe goes into the hands of the opposition, Morgan Tsvangirai

Joice Mujuru (born April 15, 1955 as Runaida Mugari) is a Zimbabwean politician serving as Vice President of Zimbabwe. She has held this post since December 2004, and is also Vice President of ZANU-PF. She was married to Solomon Mujuru until his death in 2011, and is considered a potential successor to President Robert Mugabe for party leadership.

You have not been to Zimbabwe nor do you know African colonial history. Let me clue you in. Some white settlers descended on Zimbabwe and stole lands--after killing many of them--used communally by the indigenous Shona and Ndebele. A
After a long war there was an agreement with the British(Lancaster Accord) to return the stolen lands. The British showed bad faith by reneging on the deal. Mugabe's "war veterans" promptly set about retaking the lands. The whites worldwide went beserk and from then onwards "Good-Ole-Bob" became "Dictator Mugabe".
So be careful what you read. Use good sense.

Mugabe is an great Leader. He fought against the racist and corrupt UN and his country Hopefully will benefit from His putting The Natives First.
Also I respect what you posted about Obama in the other thread. I will never understand why Africans don't defend more of there Land from introlopers. Just finished watching an Documentary on Ethiopia and it showed how the Country is supporting there people more instead of Putting there money in Swiss accounts. Also Ethiopia will be in the next African Cup of Nation. Great for the country and I hope we see blessings shower down on Ethiopia.
Of course Euros were whining about Zimbabwe, The think they have right to lands in Africa, Asia and South AMerica. These are the same worthless euros who claimed Africans were 3/5th of an Human. Then when Jesse Owen put an hurting on those racist germans at the Olympic, what Happened?? Did they say Blacks were superior? NO, They claimed basically that Jesse Owen was majority White, basically an White man under Black skin. I would Laugh, but Euros truly believed these racist scientists. Then there was the time when Whites(not all) ground up the African mummies and basically drank the people like they drink coffee. You rarely hear people talk about this foolishness, yet it happened and it shaped the mentality of many whites.
Nowadays, We see more Whites embracing the TRUTH about Africa and Africans, Credit the freedom fighters who come in all shades for showing Euros and others that African History is something you can only coverup for so long. People like hawasss can no longer claim Egypt was some miraculous country that was formed by itself out of nowhere neither African or Arab.
I pray that more African leaders support there people over giving away wealth to Europe. Africa has the means to feed and clothe and house there people, They just have to be more tough on the wealth they trade with Asia Europe etc.

Ben-Menashe again came to the attention of the international media in 2002, when he alleged that Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of Zimbabwe's opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change, had asked him to help "eliminate" President Robert Mugabe. Ben-Menashe produced a videotape of conversations between himself and Tsvangirai in London, England, and Montreal, where the latter appeared to ask for Ben-Menashe's help as a political consultant. Unbeknownst to Tsvangirai, Ben-Menashe's Montreal consultancy firm at the time, Dickens and Madson, was working for Mugabe, and tapes of the ambiguous conversation were passed to the Zimbabwean authorities, who charged Tsvangirai with treason, which is punishable by death in that country.[8]
