Remember the legend of Jason and the Argonauts, and how the Ancient Greek hero Jason traveled to the Caucasus's area, or the end of the world, to the Kingdom of Colchis and retrieve the golden Fleece?

Remember how the Colchians were described AS BEING BLACK SKINNED, WOOLLY HAIRED, EGYPTIAN LOOKING, AND DESCRIBED AS A LOST COLONY OF THE EGYPTIANS THAT ENDED UP NEAR THE CAUCUSES AREA, AND WHOM KNEW MORE ABOUT THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS THEN THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS KNEW ABOUT THEM AS SAID BY ANCIENT "GREEK" WRITERS LIKE HERODOTUS?

Did ancient gold mining methods create REAL Golden Fleece and inspire legend of Jason and the Argonauts?

The mythical Golden Fleece is best known for featuring in the ancient legend of Greek hero Jason and his band of sailors, the Argonauts. Geologists have theorized from investigations that the Golden Fleece may have been more than a simple mythical plot device, and was instead a reality for the people of the Black Sea region. Evidence suggests that the quest for the Golden Fleece may have been based on an actual historical voyage to the ancient Colchis Kingdom.

A field investigation study of the mythical ‘golden sands’ of Colchis published in Quaternary International in 2014 theorized that the story “took inspiration from an actual voyage sometime between 3,300 and 3,500 years ago”. In the myth of Jason, a tale that dates back to before the Greek Dark Ages (1100–800 BC), the son of Aeson, usurped king of Iolcos, commissions a ship built by Argus, the Argo, and gathers a group of heroes, the Argonauts (literally “Argo sailors”).

They embark on a quest to find the fleece - the skin of a winged ram, a holy ram of Zeus, - so Jason might return his father to the throne of Thessaly, Greece. He sails to Colchis, (modern Georgia) on the eastern coast of the Black Sea, enduring many trials during the voyage there and back.

There are many interpretations of the symbolism and meaning of the Golden Fleece, including it representing royal power, the flayed skin of a Titan, a book on alchemy, the forgiveness of god, a fabric woven from sea silk, and the wealth of Colchis.

According to ScienceNews, geologist Avtandil Okrostsvaridze of Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia, and his colleagues make connections between Jason’s purpose and destination, and the history of gold extraction in the area.

In the Svaneti region, mountain streams contain small particles of gold and gold-specked stone which tumble through the water after eroding from rock formations. Locals traditionally immerse sheepskins in the streams to trap the metal, creating a fleece rich with gold.

This technique has endured for thousands of years, suggesting to geologists and historians that the region is the same ancient Colchis Kingdom as referenced in the Golden Fleece myth.

The researchers wonder if the story of Jason and the Argonauts may have been based on a real and ancient mission to learn the secrets of the technique of gold extraction, or to retrieve sheepskins glittering with flakes of gold.

Most people believe that the story of Jason and the Argonauts is a work of fiction born out of the imagination of the ancient people. However, the word ‘myth’ originates from the Greek word mythos, meaning ‘word’ or ‘tale’ or ‘true narrative’, referring not only to the means by which it was transmitted but also to it being rooted in truth.

Mythos was also closely related to the word myo, meaning ‘to teach’, or ‘to initiate into the mysteries’. According to MailOnline, golden artifacts found in the villages around Svaneti may be evidence that ancient villagers had sophisticated mining and crafting skills for the time. A lion sculpture of gold which dates back to second millennium B.C highlights the possibility.

Dr. Okrostsvaridze says, “This shows that gold mining and its artistic processing was at a very high level, very early in the history of the old Georgian kingdoms. Our work shows that the gold content in the rivers sands of this region are sufficiently large to give grounds for the creation of legends,” writes MailOnline.

Dr. Okrostsvaridze wrote in the abstract of the study featured on ResearchGate, “We think, from our investigations, that the bedrock and placer gold contents of this region give grounds to believe that there was enough gold in this region to describe Svaneti as “the country rich of this noble metal”.

After comparing the geological data, artifacts, myths and historical sources, we share the viewpoint of the Roman historian Apian Alexandrine (90–170 AD) and suppose that the myth about expedition of Argonauts in quest of the “Golden Fleece” to the Colchis Kingdom was a real event and that the main purpose of this mission was to obtain gold and sheepskin (fleece) technique of gold mining.

Ultimately, though retrieving the Golden Fleece returned Jason’s father to the throne, it didn’t seem to bring Jason continued good fortune. According to myth, the hero eventually betrays his wife Medea, resulting in the slaying of his sons, and he falls out of favor with goddess Hera dying lonely and unhappy.

In the end he is crushed by his ship Argo while napping under it. Nevertheless, the Golden Fleece stands in legend as a symbol of authority, kingship, wealth and high station, to this very day. Featured Image: Jason with the Golden Fleece (1630) by Erasmus Quellinus II (Wikimedia Commons).

Well there goes the entire bullshit idiotic theory about the whole European albino's originating from the Caucasus mountains theory, because the PIE peoples WERE NOT KNOWN FOR BEING MINERS AND BUILDERS AND MEGALITHIC BUILDERS AND ENGINEERS, and artisans and stone masons!

They were NOT miners and they did not know about mining minerals, tunneling, and rock filtering and sophisticated alchemy at this period in time! And they had no desire to, when they were on the Central Asian and Siberian steppes!

They were backwards illiterate barbaric horse nomads WITHOUT A CIVILIZATION, AND WHO DID NOT EVEN CREATE A BASIC WRITTEN SCRIPT OR ALPHABET, OR CONSTRUCT MEGALITHIC MONUMENTS LIKE THE COLCHIANS DID! THEY WERE THE HUNS AND MONGOLS OF THE BC ERA AND PERIOD!

The IE/Indo-European peoples, DID NOT HAVE ANY MYTHS AND LEGENDS PERTAINING AND MENTIONING MINING ACTIVITIES, MINERAL/GOLD REFINEMENT AND EXTRACTION FROM MOUNTAINS, TUNNELING, AND MEGALITHIC STONE BUILDING OR SOPHISTICATED Metallurgical activities!

They worshiped sky gods, cows, wolves, and sacrificed and ate horses, and their religions encouraged wars, battling, and fighting, which was later seen in the Germanic tribes pantheons and religious traditions!

However they had no historical traditions or legends pertaining to the aforementioned activities above, BEFORE they mass migrated and took-over already pre-existing non-Indo-European civilizations! This is a neolithic mining, metallurgical and farmer culture and tradition, that the golden fleece legend signifies, WHICH WAS NON-WHITE AND NON-INDO-EUROPEAN ROOTED!

Mike of course excellently mentioned this in a thread a while back:

THE COLCHIAN CULTURE:

The Eastern Black Sea region was home to the well-developed bronze age culture, known as the Colchian culture. In at least some parts of Colchis, the process of urbanization seems to have been well advanced by the end of the second millennium B.C, centuries before Greek settlement.

The Colchian Late Bronze Age (15th to 8th Centurys B.C.) saw the development of significant skill in the smelting and casting of metals, that began long before this skill was mastered in Europe. Sophisticated farming implements were made, and the fertile, well-watered lowlands with their mild climate, promoted the growth of progressive agricultural techniques.

According to Greek mythology, Colchis was a fabulously wealthy land situated on the mysterious periphery of the heroic world. Here in the sacred grove of the war god Ares, King Aeëtes hung the Golden Fleece until it was seized by Jason and the Argonauts.

Colchis was also the land where the mythological Prometheus was punished by being chained to a mountain while an eagle ate at his liver, for revealing to humanity the secret of fire. The Amazons also were said to be from Colchis. The main mythical characters from Colchis are Aeëtes, Medea, Absyrtus, Chalciope, Circe, Eidyia, Pasiphaë.

In about 730 B.C, Colchis was overrun by the White Kurgan tribes called Cimmerians and Scythians. But they appear to have done little permanent damage.

In about 600 B.C, the advanced economy of Colchis soon attracted the attention of the Milesian (White) Greeks in Anatolia (Turkey), who colonized the Colchian coast and established trading posts at Phasis, Gyenos, and Sukhumi.

In about 580 B.C, the kingdom came under the control of (probably by the dating); King Astyages of the Median Empire. Which would soon become part of the first Persian Empire under Cyrus II, the Great. (The Sassanian was the second Persian Empire).

Herodotus in Book 3 says: The tribes living in southern Colchis (the Tibareni, Mossynoeci, Macrones, Moschoi, and Marres) were incorporated in the 19th Satrapy of the Persian King Darius; while the northern tribes submitted “voluntarily” and had to send to the Persian court 100 girls and 100 boys in every 5 years.

The Tibareni - Called Tubal by Josephus Flavius (see below) - He identifies them with the (Eastern) Iberians and Cappadocians.

The Macrones (Makrones) were an original Colchian tribe.

The Moschoi - Josephus Flavius identified the Moschoi with the Biblical Meshech. Meshech is named with Tubal (and Rosh, in certain translations) as principalities of "Gog, prince of Magog" in Ezekiel 38:2 and 39:1, and is considered a Japhetite tribe, identified by Flavius Josephus with the Cappadocian Moschoi (Mushki, also associated with Phrygians or Bryges) and their capital Mazaca. Another Meshech is named as a son of Aram in 1 Chronicles 1:17 (corresponding to the form Mash in Genesis 10). In Hippolytus of Rome's chronicle (234 AD), the "Illyrians" were identified as Meshech's offspring. In addition, Georgians have traditions that they, and other Caucasus people including Armenians, share descent from Meshech.

The Mossynoeci - (Greek word Mossynoikoi "dwellers in wooden towers"). The Greeks of the Black Sea area applied it to the peoples of Pontus, on the northern Anatolian coast.

Herodotus on Colchis:

[2.104] There can be no doubt that the Colchians are an Egyptian race. Before I heard any mention of the fact from others, I had remarked it myself. After the thought had struck me, I made inquiries on the subject both in Colchis and in Egypt, and I found that the Colchians had a more distinct recollection of the Egyptians, than the Egyptians had of them. Still the Egyptians said that they believed the Colchians to be descended from the army of Sesostris.

My own conjectures were founded, first, on the fact that they are black-skinned and have woolly hair, which certainly amounts to but little, since several other nations are so too; but further and more especially, on the circumstance that the Colchians, the Egyptians, and the Ethiopians (Nubians), are the only nations who have practised circumcision from the earliest times.

Therefore the Proto-Indo-European cultures and peoples, COULD NOT HAVE ORIGINATED FROM HERE? WHY?

Because the Proto-Indo-European peoples DID NOT SPREAD KNOWLEDGE OF GOLD MINING, MINERAL REFINEMENT AND EXTRACTION, MEGALITHIC STONE BUILDING, AND TUNNELING AND FILTRATION TO THE AREAS THEY SPREAD TO ELSEWHERE IN ASIA AND EUROPE! There is no evidence that they actually did!

Their myths and legends do not even indicate that they actually knew about this stuff and how to do all this, and about these activities as seen when the Aryans migrated to Southern Asia, and whom then later wrote the Rig Veda's, AFTER BEING FORCED TO BY CIRCUMSTANCES TO WRITE/RECORD THEIR LEGENDS AND MYTHS IN WRITTEN FORM, WHEN PREVIOUSLY THEY HAD TRADITIONS DEEPLY FORBIDDING IT!

However the Aryans/Indo-European peoples did not have thousand year old traditions and myths of killing sheep and livestock, as a means to obtain gold and rare earth minerals from mountains; they didn't have gods that were really forgiving!

They don't have any recorded traditions and myths that emphasize the learning of the secrets of alchemy and alchemy gold and mineral extraction, and the extraction of rare minerals from mountain like locations and hero's undertaking long precarious journeys to obtain such geologic and alchemist knowledge!

Their traditions were based and emphasize more on simple and barbaric and nomadic and shamanistic and war-based motifs and symbols, and heavily place importance on steppe environments, ecology maintenance and the preservation of animals from such environments; which there is no recorded instance of the Colchians of having so far!

And their is no mention in the colchian and Golden fleece legends and myths about venerating and sacrificing horses, steppe ecology and environments, cow preservation acts etc etc as in the Indo-European myths and legends!

And the Colchian remains here show that that they were active miners and gold extractors and masons and builders and metallurgists, which no known Indo-European archaeological sites SHOW EVIDENCE OF, LIKE THE ANDROVONO SITES AND THE KURGAN MOUND SITES!

Because if the Indo-Europeans people originated from this area, THEN THEY WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS STUFF IN THE ARTICLE, LIKE THE COLCHIANS, AND WOULD HAVE MYTHS, TRADITIONS THAT MENTION OR EMPHASIZE THIS; BUT THEY DON'T AND THEY DON'T MENTION IT, SO FAR FROM ALL THEIR RECORDED TRADITIONS AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AT THIS TIME PERIOD AND BEFORE OF THE PROTO-INDO-EUROPEANS! THEREFORE WHITE EUROPEANS DID NOT ORIGINATE FROM THIS AREA!

Because again, if the Proto-Indo-Europeans originated from the area,; then they would have spread mining and mineral extraction knowledge, and have religious traditions/cultural traditions emphasizing and valuing gold/deep earth minerals, and the importance of mining them and extracting them, which there is no mention or record of them of having!

Semitic neolithic agriculture based civilizations like the Ancient Sumerians, Babylonians and various early African civilizations do, and they have important myths and legends and traditions emphasizing and mentioning these mining activities and mineral extraction endeavors, that the Colchians engaged in; BUT NOT INDO-EUROPEAN PEOPLES AND CULTURES AND KNOWN ETHNIC GROUPS! There is no tangible direct record or testimony of Indo-European traditions and myths, with the aformentioned characteristics, that's known so far from them!

The whole Caucuses=Caucsian origination theory is therefore A BIG LIE!

Judge for yourself:

The Oxus treasure

The Oxus treasure consists of about 170 objects, dating mainly from the fifth and fourth centuries B.C. The Treasure seems to have been gathered together over a long period, perhaps in a temple.

It includes vessels, a gold scabbard, model chariots and figures, armlets, seals, finger-rings, miscellaneous personal objects, dedicatory plaques and coins It was found on the banks of the River Oxus, probably at the site of Takht-i Kuwad, a ferry station on the north bank of the river.

In May 1880 Captain F.C. Burton, a British political officer in Afghanistan, rescued a group of merchants who had been captured by bandits while travelling between Kabul and Peshawar.

They were carrying with them this rich collection of gold and silver objects. Burton bought from them a gold armlet, now in the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Other pieces from the Treasure subsequently emerged in the bazaars of Rawalpindi. Some of those now in The British Museum were acquired by Major-General Sir Alexander Cunningham (1814-93), Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India, and others were obtained by Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks, who was both a curator in the Museum and a generous benefactor.

In due course Franks bought Cunningham's share of the treasure, and eventually the entire Oxus treasure was bequeathed by him to The British Museum

He,he,he,he:

The third one down could depict an Albino - or a Caucasian Black. But the rest are clearly Black people!

So I guess Oxus was NOT an incubator for Albinos.

Again this is pretty important because it illustrates and shows and adds support to the fact that, MODERN WHITE EUROPEAN ALBINO'S DO NOT ORIGINATE FROM THE CAUCUSES-COLCHIS AREA, AS THE EUROPEAN ALBINO'S KEEP LYING TO US ABOUT!

The "Caucasian race" BEING WHITE EUROPEANS AND WHITE EUROPEANS ORIGINATING FROM THAT AREA IS A BULLSHIT IDIOTIC LIE! Simply because the earliest inhabitants of the area, if indeed the European white peoples originated from there as the lying European academia tells us, would not have been Black-skinned Egyptian looking people, if the false European model was actually true!

Thus the whole term "Caucasian" is a bunch of bullshit because there is no real genetic, or historical, or skeletal or physiological correspondence and synchronicity, between what the Eurocentrics are telling us and REAL TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE OF PEOPLE WHO RECORDED WHAT PEOPLE LIVED THERE LOOKED LIKE, AND THE REMAINS OF THE CULTURE THAT USED TO LIVE THERE!
