Nearly 22 hours later, the shooting of traffic police officer Rathband, parked in East Denton, was linked to Moat. Moat was believed to have a grudge against the police after Stobbart had lied to Moat about being in a relationship with a police officer. Shortly after his release from prison, Moat posted threats to police and others on his Facebook profile. Moat apparently targeted Rathband randomly, simply for being a police officer, although on an earlier occasion Rathband had confiscated Moat's van on the suspicion that it was not insured. Moat also made threats, in two letters and several phone calls, that he would kill any officer who attempted to stop him.
The manhunt lasted almost seven days, and was the largest in modern British history, involving 160 armed officers and armed response vehicles, many seconded for the operation from other police forces. Police also used sniper teams, helicopters, dogs, armoured anti-terrorist police vehicles from Northern Ireland, tracker Ray Mears, and even a Royal Air Force jet for reconnaissance. In the course of the hunt there were several raids and false alarms across the region.

Rabid right wing racist Congressman Joe Walsh said "this is war" and seemed to blame the President of the US, when a black sniper killed some Dallas police officers- my condolences to the families of the slain police. Apparently since the president is black, and the sniper is black, there must be "some" connection..
Strangely, Walsh had comparatively little to say when a white assailant attacked the Dallas Police Headquarters with an armored truck in 2015, intent on killing officers. No "wars" were declared. Apparently its only "war" if a black man is involved.
DALLAS (AP) — A man planted pipe bombs outside Dallas police headquarters and sprayed the building with bullets during a wild street battle early Saturday that authorities said miraculously left no one dead or injured except the suspect, who was later shot and killed in his van by a police sniper.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown said the suspect identified himself to authorities as James Boulware, and he blamed police for having lost custody of his son and for "accusing him of being a terrorist." But authorities declined to officially identify the suspect until a medical examiner verified it. Police arrived at the home of Boulware's father as an Associated Press reporter was there later on Saturday and began questioning the elder Boulware, also named James.
According to police, the suspect opened fire on the building from his parked van. Bullets pierced the glass at the entrance and caused damage inside, including at the front desk, where the worker on duty had just gone to get a soft drink.

but more importantly the motives were entirely different. Micah Johnson's murders were politically motivated in a highly charged political environment. He had no history of mental problems.
James Boulware's motive was to retaliate for losing custody of his son.
In 2013 James Boulwarewas arrested after threatening violence against his family, churches and schools prior to his 2015 attack on the Dallas police.
The police report shows that the incident began at Boulware’s mother’s house in Dallas in May 2013. Police said Boulware grabbed his mother around the neck with both of his hands and began choking her. Boulware’s uncle then removed his hands from his mother’s throat and pushed him away. Boulware then punched his uncle several times, police said in the report. His mother call 911 and then struck Boulware in the back of the head several times with a laptop computer while he was fighting on the ground with his uncle.Boulware left his mother’s house and went to his brother’s home in Paris, Texas, where he removed several guns, rifles, body armor and several boxes of ammunition and left. His family told police Boulware had recently made comments about “shooting up schools and churches.”
Boulware was later caught in Paris and arrested.
The case was dismissed in April 2014 after Boulware met court-ordered conditions, according to Dallas County court records. The police report in the 2013 case shows that Boulware “talks to himself quite frequently and appears to be delusional,” During the 2013 incident, police said Boulware “began making comments about North and South Korea, and began rudely talking about religion, Jews and Christians.”
According to court records, a judge recently granted custody of Boulware’s 11-year-old son to Boulware’s mother after both he and the child’s mother were determined to not be fit to be in sole possession of the son. Boulware and the boy’s mother retained some parental rights, according to the judge’s order, and must each pay child support.
The boy’s mother has a history of drug problems, according to the court filings.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on June 13, a man parked an armored van in front of the Dallas Police Department headquarters. There, he opened fire using what appeared to be a semi-automatic weapon.When police officers responded, the man rammed a Dallas Police patrol car and began shooting at officers from inside the van, striking the squad cars. He fled in the van to Hutchins, Texas, 10 miles (16 km) south of Dallas, where he stopped the van in the parking lot of a branch of Jack in the Box. Further gunfire was exchanged with the police, a perimeter was set up around the van, and a SWAT team was called in.[4]
The driver identified himself to police as James Boulware and claimed that the police had taken his son, accusing him of "being a terrorist".

Its an apt comparison. Both were intent on killing police. White Boulware only failed to rack up a cop body count because his execution was faulty. Mo betta better positioning of his van and more accurate shooting, and the results would have been a lot different. But racist ex- Congressman Joe Walsh only calls for "war" when its black folk involved.
Walsh and assorted "defenders of freedom" also did not call for "war" when black folk were being framed up by the police. Why weren't the hypocrites concerned about the "freedom" of blacks framed by the police? Here is just one example from last year.

The Alabama Justice Project has obtained documents that reveal a Dothan Police Department’s Internal Affairs investigation was covered up by the district attorney. A group of up to a dozen police officers on a specialized narcotics team are believed to have planted drugs and weapons on young black men for years. They were supervised at the time by Lt. Steve Parrish, current Dothan Police Chief, and Sgt. Andy Hughes, current Asst. Director of Homeland Security for the State of Alabama. All of the officers reportedly were members of a Neoconfederate organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center labels “racial extremists.” The group has advocated for blacks to “return” to Africa, published that the civil rights movement is really a Jewish conspiracy, and that blacks have lower IQ’s . Both Parrish and Hughes held leadership positions in the group and are pictured above holding a confederate battle flag at one of the club’s secret meetings.
The documents shared reveal that the internal affairs investigation was covered up to protect the aforementioned officers’ law enforcement careers and keep them from being criminally prosecuted.
Several long term Dothan law enforcement officers, all part of an original group that initiated the investigation, believe the public has a right to know that the Dothan Police Department, and District Attorney Doug Valeska, targeted young black men by planting drugs and weapons on them over a decade. Most of the young men were prosecuted, many sentenced to prison, and some are still in prison. Many of the officers involved were subsequently promoted and are in leadership positions in law enforcement. They hope the mood of the country is one that demands action and that the US Department of Justice will intervene.
The group of officers requested they be granted anonymity, and shared hundreds of files from the Internal Affairs Division. They reveal a pattern of criminal behavior from within the highest levels of the Dothan Police Department and the district attorney’s office in the 20th Judicial District of Alabama. Multiple current and former officers have agreed to testify if United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch appoints a special prosecutor from outside the state of Alabama, or before a Congressional hearing. The officers believe that there are currently nearly a thousand wrongful convictions resulting in felonies from the 20th Judicial District that are tied to planted drugs and weapons and question whether a system that allows this can be allowed to continue to operate.
Members of the Henry County Report have spent weeks analyzing the documents. The originals, secured at an N.G.O. in Canada, are being shared directly with attorneys in the U.S. Dept. of Justice Civil Rights Division, and are being made available to the lawyers of those falsely convicted that seek to clear their names. The initial effort is to identify the 50 potential victims identified in the case folders of the officer investigated that were outstanding before the court at the time of his investigation. Then further identify the drug arrests made by the other members of the team that had written complaints filed against by fellow officers, that alleged targeting of minorities as is evidenced in the letter presented to the city commision in the leaked documents.
There are two federal lawsuits currently pending by former police officers Keith Gray and Raemonica Carney against the Dothan Police Department. They will be given access as well as they potentially substantiate their claims of racial discrimination and city’s violation of a federal court decree.
The documents appear to serve as irrefutable evidence of criminal activity at the highest levels of the Dothan Police Department.
Beginning in early 1996, the Dothan Police Department received complaints from black victims that drugs and weapons were being planted. Specifically young black men who had clean records were targeted. Police Chief, John White, allegedly instructed senior officers to ignore the complaints and they willingly complied.
