Philosopher Rumi Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī (Persian: جلالالدین محمد رومی), also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī (جلالالدین محمد بلخى), Mevlânâ/Mawlānā (مولانا, "our master"), Mevlevî/Mawlawī (مولوی, "my master"), and more popularly simply as Rumi (30 September 1207 – 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian[1][7] Sunni[8] Muslim poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan.[7][9] Rumi's influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions: Iranians, Tajiks, Turks, Greeks, Pashtuns, other Central Asian Muslims, and the Muslims of South Asia have greatly appreciated his spiritual legacy for the past seven centuries.[10] His poems have been widely translated into many of the world's languages and transposed into various formats. Rumi has been described as the "most popular poet"[11] and the "best selling poet" in the United States.[12][13]
Rumi's works are written mostly in Persian, but occasionally he also used Turkish, Arabic, and Greek,[14][15][16] in his verse.[17][18] His Masnavi (Mathnawi), composed in Konya, is considered one of the greatest poems of the Persian language.[19][20] His works are widely read today in their original language across Greater Iran and the Persian-speaking world.[21][22] Translations of his works are very popular, most notably in Turkey, Azerbaijan, the United States, and South Asia.[23] His poetry has influenced not only Persian literature, but also Turkish, Ottoman Turkish, Azerbaijani, as well as the literature of some other Turkic, Iranian, and Indo-Aryan languages including Chagatai, Urdu and Pashto. A deep grasp of his original poetry requires excellent command of modern Persian, and an equally good command of Islamic prophetic traditions, and the Qur'an. With such command, one may succeed in peeling back the multitude layers of meaning.

Tukuler first I will post quotes from my favorite philosophers who are Rumi, Lao Tzu, Buddha and Confucius and then I will post wisdom quotes from Ancient Egypt. I will post some African quotes but I dont think there are a lot of quotes coming from African philosophers. I am feeling that Rumi, Lao Tzu, Buddha and Confucius and Marcus Aurelius might have been Black sages.
I think philosophy is as powerful as Afrocentric history and more powerful then conspiracy theory. Philosophy help a person think and behave smartly. Philosophy help a person interact with everyday people and deal with life event. Philosophy will help a person have a successful and peaceful life.

Gautama is the primary figure in Buddhism. Fame, as they say, is fickle. It may take years to reap it and, when you do, you may not have the time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. This was the case for Confucius, an ancient Chinese philosopher whose ideas still resonate today.
Who Was Confucius? Kong Qiu, or Master Kong as he was known, did not live to see his days of glory. During his lifetime, his views were received with scorn. But that was about 2,500 years ago.
Following his death, a handful of his dedicated followers passed on Confucius' teachings to future generations in the book, The Analects of Confucius.
Confucius' philosophies remained in the archives of ancient Chinese history. As his teachings spread far and wide, his philosophies gained ground. Confucius's Political Life Though Confucius served the Duke of Lu, a Chinese state, he made many enemies with the nobles of the land. Confucius was exiled from the State of Lu for more than two decades, so he lived in the countryside, spreading his teachings.
Confucius's Ideologies and Philosophy Confucius gave great importance to education.
He devoted his time to gain new insights and learned from renowned scholars of his time. He started his own school at the age of 22. At that time, China was undergoing a state of ideological turmoil; all around there was injustice, war, and evil. Confucius established a moral code of conduct based on human principles of mutual respect, good conduct, and familial ties.
Confucianism along with Taoism and Buddhism became the three religious pillars of China. Today, Confucius is revered not just as a moral teacher, but a divine soul who saved the world from moral degradation.

Marcus Aurelius (/ɔːˈriːliəs/; Latin: Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus;[notes 1][notes 2][3] 26 April 121 – 17 March 180 AD) was Roman emperor from 161 to 180. He ruled with his adoptive brother, Lucius Verus, until Verus' death in 169, and with his son, Commodus, from 177. He was the last successor of rulers traditionally known as the Five Good Emperors.
Among Roman Emperors he has been called "The Philosopher".[4] He was a practitioner of Stoicism, and his personal philosophical writings, which later came to be called Meditations, are a significant source of the modern understanding of ancient Stoic philosophy. They are considered by many commentators to be one of the greatest works of philosophy.[5]
During his reign, the Roman Empire defeated a revitalized Parthian Empire in the East; Aurelius' general Avidius Cassius sacked the Parthian capital Ctesiphon in 164. In central Europe, Aurelius fought the Marcomanni, Quadi, and Sarmatians with success during the Marcomannic Wars, although the threat of the Germanic peoples began to represent a troubling reality for the Empire. A revolt in the East led by Avidius Cassius was quickly suppressed. Persecution of Christians increased during his reign.
His death in 180 is considered the end of the Pax Romana.[6] The increasing instability in the West that followed has traditionally been seen as the beginning of the eventual fall of the Western Roman Empire
