Hi...I'm new here and was wondering if i can get some info. I joined the Navy and I have read that we have a base in Alexandria. I have asked people online that I know who have gone to Alexandria...yet they tell me they have never seen a Navy Ship or base or Navy personel. Can someone tell me where it is actually located at in Alexandria? Thanks....
P.S. I'm going there to visit a girl, she lives in Cairo...very nice girl, I like her alot. But I Guess thats another story for another Day LOL

The U.S. Navy does make port visits and transits the Suez Canal. However, to the best of my knowledge there are no U.S. Navy ships based in Alexandria. Egypt has purchased several ships from the U.S. and there are several U.S. contractors that maintain and rebuild them but no permanent active duty naval personnel other then those assigned to the Office of Military Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
