At the beginning of May I'm holidaying in Sharm El Sheikh with a female friend of mine (we are both in our twenties). Any advice would be greatly appreciated with regards to safety etc......

Be yourselves and wait to be appriciated that way and use common sense.
I wouldnīt get drunk (doesnīt suit to anybody), go to nightclubs or use tank tops elsewhere than on the beach. But be free to express western way to be a young woman. You are free to socialise with Egypteans and have very good time (between locals it is not widely accepted women to hang around with strange men).
Please, donīt believe sweet words men say to you, and donīt accept gifts without being able to give something back...

Notice the way Egyptian female guests behave with the hotel staff - and more importantly how the hotel staff behaves with the Egyptian guests vs female foreign guests.
If you are polite with someone but curt and they try to make you feel guilty for not being friendlier...what's wrong, why are you so sad, etc. - don't worry, you're not being rude - they are. They wouldn't dare to say something like that to an egyptian guest; it's just a way to take advantage of the cultural differences a tourist isn't aware of and to get a girl to give them the time of the day.
As the other poster said...have fun, use common sense, enjoy the attention you'll get, enjoy the sweet words, but take it for what it is...a holiday.

good choice to sharm.. just be happy, you are in save there. nothing to be worry. reserve your hotel before you go. the normal life is the same as in another countries.. guys is interested in you,, alot of invitations, just be yourself and have fun. for more information.... arawy28@yahoo.com. i will be here too in that time, just ask me if you are there and you need information. good luck and good rest
you'll be fine. theres not a huge amount of nightlife you know... i hope your girls that enjoy the daytime on hol!!!
if your looking for aiya napa, san antonio, falaraki etc... you wont find it in sharm.
if you want nice beaches, hotel/pool, restaurants and day time excursions like diving, snorkeling, quad biking in the desert, shopping etc youll love it.
na ama bay is the night life, and its got a small pacha. thats about it though!!!

do you live in london.... i'll keep my eye out for you... do you walk with your hands clasped behind your back like your avatar? i havnt seen a flasher since i was 14...we were walking home from school when someone stepped out in front of us and flashed... my friend hit 'it' with a ring binder and we legged it laughing!!! we called her Tasha the flasha basha for months!!!! do people still do it?

first thing i live in nottingham,secondly i dont flash,and really dont know who does,a guy at the week end lifted my daughters skirt up for a joke, 2 mins later i think he was wishing he was,nt born,but there is one thing i know he will be at the denist shortly. and it is still raining,strange weekend

he he.... 18 wow... im dreading it.. my daughter is going to be 10 in a few days... double figures... im getting old!!! when shes 18 i will have another daughter age 16!!! oh my god... they are both stunning now, i feel sorry for their brother who is in the middle of them... he will punch a few boys over them i think!!!
