Hi everyone,
I need to know everything possible about laws, customs details and legal regulations to open a business (restaurant, entertainment activities or similar) in Sharm El Sheikh... if I'm not Egyptian.
Is it difficult for Italian people to start such a work? Me and other italian friends would like to open a little italian restaurant there but we don't know anything about all the legal aspects (allowance, importation aspects and taxes...)
Thanks to anyone will reply to me...

Hi there,

The way to find out, is through your commercial attaché /your Italian Embassy in Cairo. Just a phone call to your Embassy, and they will let you know/meet.

Also,

Maybe you could check with this Italian lady member, she has a lot of insight, and a lot of information through her experience in Sharm.

The italian Embassy (the foreign trade office) replyed to me by saying that I've to talk with a lawyer... is it possible that nobody can give me more detailed information?
I've heard that a local partner is required to start a business there.... is it true?
Thank you!

It is not true that u need a local partner to start a business in Egypt.
The following paragraphs are from a file that was produced by some italian entity about how to start a business in Egypt. if u think it is useful, then i can send it to u by mail since it is made of 24 pages and i can not paste them on this forum.

Società in nome collettivo
