Hi everybody,

I'd like to continue learning the arabic language, (speak very, very little) but would prefer this to be a social meeting in a coffeeshop or similar, once or twice a week with a preferably egyptian person - therefore not looking for a teacher in a professional institution as such.

If you are interested or know of anybody that could be of help please let me know & if possible provide their contact details.

Lastly, I am living in London.
Thanks in advance!

You could try the Egyptian Consulate. I did Arabic conversation there, it was really good and very inexpensive

When I went it was a weekly group but it was proper Egyptian and conversation rather than grammer or heavy language lessons. The group was a varied bunch but very nice. It is in Mayfair the strret name escapes me. Tube Green Park

Ok, great - will contact them - did you feel once a week was enough though? Also, surely if one is an (almost) complete beginner the grammar (alphabet etc) would be included?
