salam,

I walk a desert city
And kick an ancient pebble
Perhaps a piece
Broken from a mosque
A relic of the crusade
I hear the echo of a shout
Calling through the ages
For justice, freedom
O City of locked up mosques
When will your day of glory come
To open up - be free?
Yet, you bow to barbarians
Praising their corruption
Eating the fallen crumbs from their tables
Seeking approval from their evil eye
Which only sees the wealth
Hidden below the soil
Beneath the ancient stones
On which I now walk
and one more....
Thank you, Allah, for finding me
A way out of the misery
You showed me Love
And taught me how to feel
Now I am free
I know Your Love that heals
I have my dreams, You gave them life
I need only follow Your guiding Light
To let go of ego, Become as a child
To know the Joy of Your Love
Allah, what more can I ask of You
You've shown me more than I ever knew
You gave me Hope when I had nothing left
Now, dear Allah, I want to give to You
Oh, what have I but my heart & soul
Allah, they're Yours, please take control
You know the Way, so please guide my path
Thank you, Allah, I am free at last
be well everybody,
brian
