hi i am moving to cairo in may and i want to rent a 2bedroom flat in down town i would like to know how much i would expect to pay per month/ i will be staying there for one and a half years i am not to worried about the appearence of the flat but i would like airconditioning. i would also like to know how easy it is to get cable tv connected as i will be just here relaxing not working and i like my tv

A 2bedroom flat in down town will be in an average of 330 Euro to 880 Euro depending on how luxury it is.. and as far as I know it all have a cable TV or u can ask the real state agent or the owner to include it in the contract... anyways I ll ask for u about i as I know an Egyptian guy who works on this as a part time Job... email me with all ur requirement and I ll forward his email to u deepest_rhythm@yahoo.com

A friend of mine just rented a small two bedroom flat downtown for 1500 LE, A/C and cable TV included.

don't belive, he wants to fool u, u can get much cheaper. U can get for 1200(not in main streets or far), 1500 (normal ones, old furniture but good place), 2000 (for this price in very good place, and well furnished). Dont' accept the first price, negociate!
