well, I chat sometimes, but I wouldn't say everyday, although I leave my messenger on almost all the time

Rarely every few months. But gmail does have a chat function.
University PC labs don't allow chat applications, only web based ones.
Would like to build up my own forum, but don't want chatting on it, nor with this volumed like ES, possibly 1/200 of the transactions. More content less bull.

I chat frequently on yahoo, because I find their audio and video chat to be better than MSN. This is really important when you are trying to understand what kind of SHAMPOO some lovely lady in Egypt wants you to send her... I still haven't figured out how to chat with people on macs that aren't using yahoo. Minry, is your ID minry80@yahoo.com? Hahahaha...

Yahoo Messenger runs on the Mac, so does ICQ and many others, like g-talk which can be used with iChat (a small, Apple-based application that comes with the system).
That said, I've only ever chatted a few times in my life. I think it's a great thing for staying in touch with friends when you're abroad, but most of my friends don't go online in the evening.
