I believe it's time for me to step away from this forum. I've been struggling for the past two weeks to finally make a decision. I've been on ES for a little over two years, I felt commitment to this forum and enjoyed my time to the fullest although there were also moments of blackness.
I met many interesting people on here, Egyptians and other foreigners. I've got to know people who came on this board with the same interest like me: to inquire more knowledge about living, customs and history of this unique country.
Unfortunately this forum is lacking of active moderators and don't take necessary steps to stop quickly or at all abusive and insulting posts. And at one point if these posts are insulting even family members of mine and the administration overlooks it like that what should I think of the them? Do I want to be a member of their board any longer?
After all it was fun to be on here although one negative thing is that it's very time-consuming to post (time which could be better used to study Arabic after all, right) but if ES is dear to you like a hobby what can you do?
I seriously believed that this board would bring people from different cultures together but in fact it does not. The constant fights on the religion forum are outrageous, remember any kind of religion should be a peaceful one but what I read on there doesn't even want me to have an interest in some kind of faith.
And I've never read and heard so much filth about Western women and how many times they get degraded here on this forum but really it is an eye-opener for many, even for myself.
Some ill-hearted people could state now why I didn't just leave the board - like they responded to others in that way before - instead of making a topic of it but I think it's appropriate to say good-bye and after all I am a member on this board for quite some time.
I'd like to wish everyone on this forum here personally all the best for the future.

I found this website by accident. I was horrified by the things I read on it. BUT it also taught me a bit of reality.... I also was able to split the genuine help, advise and truth from the not so plus I made some very good friends who I email regulary and have been a godsend to me and truly saintly and patient with someone who perhaps lacks a little (Yes that is me!!) Dispite being very angry and upset and causing myslef some great deal of confusion there are three peopel from here that I cannot thank enough for what they have done so I would urge no one who is genuine to leave because without them I wouldnt have a bit of knowledge I have now...

I don't know how to hack. If I did well, I probably wouldn't put too much time into it anyhow.
If you hack on campus they expel you and everyone who has done it has been caught and expelled.
Besides in Minnesota the authorities do track hackers.
2 of fellow Hopkins High graduates have already been to jail for it.
Now in regards to who hack your forums, I have a idea. One solitary email I recieved back in June of 2004 when the "egyptian liberation front" emailed me instead of you. Which is why you have hijacked my two sonomod email accounts in hopes of getting a trace of who they are.
Other than that hacking isn't my thing. Its yours.

you know it's no big deal not being able to hack. The programming language is hard to hack and sometimes they complicate the process in introducing new codes. I learned some tips in programming languages a year or two ago, an internet page you can see is not the result of a compilation of images but of codes, everybody knows this, it's basic knowledge. During those lessons there was a part on how to prevent the access to your data on MySQL if you use a database otherwise they would tell you how to prevent hackers from diverting users by hacking the URL. Anyway there is always a new riddle hackers are facing. The hackers are always in this race to know wether their prey have updated their security system or not, and are always ready to take any occasion to assault. I experienced hacking (amateur hacking though, not pro), i wanted to introduce myself into the reservation list of a nightclub. It's a cool nightclub and it has two big plasma or sylicone screens, the biggest i ever saw in real. Anyway, first i had to decode the program used by the programmers, i think their were using a kind of basic security system and it was quite easy to unlock. I went in the system without no difficulties and i played with the reservations: exchanged guests places etc... I put my name on the best table of the club wich, it was really easy making this. But i didn't went to the club that night, it was more of a oneshot.
Another time i was hacking in those type of hackers reunions or competition. I was making my way royally when i found out i was being hacked. There were three english or american guys with a hacking technique so elaborated i was simply astonished. They would turn down their opponents before heading to the target. I took a pause to observe how my system reacted, and i found out those guys had a tough technique, but i told myself, "nothing i cannot handle" . When they found out i wasn't no more trying to hack the system but observing their technique, they freaked out. I understood the principle they use, but i haven't solved the riddle until now. It's like on one hand, they hack you while on the other hand they hack the system, using a basic two-step method but by combining the two very effectively and so rapidly...all the other hackers were going crazy not even understanding they were being hacked.

We have those reunions/competitions here at the Minnneapolis Convention Center.
Most who attend actually work in the IT security field and have DOD security clearances. If you don't your name gets put on a list and then gets handed over at the end of the day to guys in suits with sunglasses.
Why do G-men need to be so obvious?
Good reason not to identify yourself as a hacker or correctly as a "cracker".
Won't dare hack or crack until I get that security clearance. Playing with fire.
