here's some of his stuff translated (not by me). unfortunatly much is lost in translation, but anyway here they are
Your own despair and patience are yours you are free to despair or not life will always be what it will have to be i've tasted both and strangely i have discovered that patience is bitter but so is despair
----------------------------------------------
I opened my window to the morning glow only the wind came in with a holw and a scream i opened my heart to let this sadness flow only love and mercy came out in a scream
----------------------------------------------
I with the impossible fall madly in love, saw this moon and leaped in the air above reached it or not what do i really care? and why this pleasure was in this love affair?
I said a word with two full meanings and like a womb bearing twins: one good and one bad if this world is evil, the good will then die if it is good, for whom would live the bad?
Away from earth and on a distant star I sat in space and watched it from afar I saw no difference between land and sea Pain and joy looked the same to me

Aww I really like the translations, I imagine they are even better before they are translated. Do you know where I can find some more in English?

oh i love that poem! thanks lazeez. where did you get it from?
i have the complete collection of negm's work but unfortunatly i left it in egypt. obviously though this is a new one.
you know the only thing that i dislike about him is that he claimed to be the "best colloquial poet of all time" in an interview. i really disagree with that! i think salah jaheen is so much better
