I know this may seem like an odd question but I'm wondering it a computer that works in US will work ok in Egypt? I'm thinking the electrical currency issue more than anything. Dont want to fry the computer. I know I need an adapter. Still I'm a little concerned. Also if rent an apartmment in Hurghada, can I find one which has high speed internet connection in the apartment? I need to check on work while I'm there so I'm trying to plan ahead. Any advise on computers and also cheap calling card rates to US will be appreciated. The cheapest on VOIP calling card rates I've seen are about $.50/min that is better than my $2.49 cell phone rate. I don't want to use VOIP due to poor voice quality.

The adapter that comes with the laptop is universal 110/220
I am using my Dell 9400 laptop and a Toshiba Qosimo laptop bought from Canada right now in Egypt!
