I have been to Al-Rehab and I like it very much there, everything is self contained and I can certainly use a car there. However: if you go to Cairo, they drive crazy and don't stay in the lines, and I needed a sedative every time I was a passenger in a car. How feasible would it be to live in Al-Rehab and take public transportation or have a driver drive you places outside? I know I would never make it driving outside, and I am already afraid/have an anxiety issue to drive on USA superhighways, so I don't.

Yes, I saw people packed, riding in little cars and buses like Sardines when I was there. I like Egypt very much, and the food is very very good, and the people were friendly.

Noway to compare driving in Al Rehab to driving in Cairo. Rehab has almost empty streets although it bagan to be crowded in the Commerecial area (Al Sok) and the open food court. Just avoid these two points, you are in safe.
