Smuckers, we know quite a few people who are in Port Said regularly. I hear they have some impressively big rats there. the offer for Sahl Hasheesh is a little strange: Oberoi offers only BB, so lunch and dinner will cost you! You have to eat in the hotel or outside, but I don't think Sahl Hasheesh has many restaurants yet! So then you have to go to Hurghada, you have to take a taxi.

The Package offers look ok but they are only meant for people living in Egypt, right? cause if you have to book a flight (flight only) it gets less interesting. I have another question; My husby and I will probably come back in November. It is my midterm holidays then and we need sun. (dark days in Belgium then) Nov 2006 we stayed at Steigenberger hotel in Hurghada. Nov 2007 we stayed at Movenpick hotel in El Gouna. Both hotels were very nice but there was a big difference between Hurghada and El Gouna. (very calm in the evenings ) My husby does kitesurfing and he could do it right in front of the Movenpick. I have an Egyptian friend working in Hurghada and he said we should come to Magawish Bay as it is famous for kitesurfing. (more possibilities for subscriptions kitesurf cause at the Movenpick places were limited) This 'Magawish Bay'... is it part of Hurghada or El Gouna??
