I am looking for a 'run around' car for our office. They are willing to pay around $30,000. I have had a look at a few web sites today and that doesn't buy much.
Has anyone had a good experience at buying second hand and where from ? Any recommendations on small 4 wheel drives ?

Every friday in nasser city past city stars, dont know the name, but there is a huge second hand car market.... can get anything you like. Also go to any car dealer, a small diahtus teros platinum is around 150,000 egp.

Hi Dzosser, those prices are cheap... where can I get one for that price? i have been to lots of dealers and most are quoting between 146,000 and 155,000. Let me know as i am buying a new car in teh next 2 weeks.

If you can read Arabic, click on the website above for contact cars...there's a thing for new cars and one for used ones on top, if you want to visit them they're on 1 EL Aziz Ossman st. Zamalek, Cairo.

Malak the prices you mentioned are for the 'Grand Terios' with a longer shape than the Terios..is it worth it ?

was 149000 egp. From the site you said its 10,000 cheaper. I will go and have a look at the weekend, thanks for the info. The Grand one, with either a 5 or 7 seat was 152000 to 1590000.

Hi guys, thanks for the info, currently checking out cars now. Has anyone heard of the Sahin 4 wheel drive ? Someone told me they do a 4 wheel drive model brand new for around 76,000LE. Can't find anything online though.

There's no Sahin 4x4, you mean Lada Niva and yes it exists in this price range...1.7 litre engine but kinda old technology and 2 door, Russian car assembled in Egypt, not very smooth ride though..if you want there's Esperanza Tigo (China) 4x4, 2 litre engine 115000 EGP. F/O manual transmission, and 4x2 for 95OOO EGP, 4 doors and modern style, the dealer is Abulfotouh well known for after-sales service and is doing great in Egypt.

After 7ay saba7, Shabrawy. I think the big green buses go that way 700/300/359?
Even minibuses, but most stop at shabrawy, you can get another bus from there.
Even if you don't speak Arabic well it's worth a visit to know the market.
