Hello all , Ramadan kareem , I am an Egyptian and married to a colombian , i wanted to register my marriage in Egypt to issue an Egyptian marriage certificate , i wrote my wife's name in the marriage certificate as it appears in her passport , which means in the name box i put her name , then in the father's name box i put her grandfather's name ( as the occidental way in naming ) , and in the grandfather's box i put her grandfather's name from her mother , now actually her father's name is not as i wrote in the certificate , and to be honest i didn't ask the person who was attending there in Abbasia how to write her name if the naming system is different , anyone passed by something like this before ? any way to correct this without putting myself in trouble ? thanks for any help

Magedam, I am not sure if all the info is relevant in a country like Egypt - probably more so if she's planning on living there - but I'd advise you anyway to get the correct info and go back to the register office.
And congratulations on your marriage. I hope it will be a long and happy one. I bet your wife is a stunner.

Re your question I would just put the correct name when applying for the Egyptian certificate and write it in Arabic, I bet they never even notice
