Thanks Sash! It must have been relatively calm where I live, I never really felt an urgency to leave Cairo.

I would like to bitch about people who borrow books for 6 months and then flatly refuse to give them back. And yes ... I mean you. And all the profiteeering going on atm with credit for phones, cigarettes etc. Isn't this corruption? And the weather!!![I ran merrily out into the garden in my pyjamas this morning and ran straight back in!] Does the promise of democracy bring with it the awful weather suffered by UK and other democracies? And next council tax and recycling laws no doubt.

Might as well get this gripe off my chest. I am sick of seeing members of the Muslim Brotherhood being interviewed on TV and referring to Egypt as an Islamic country. It bloody well is not.

Of course you can - did you read Fleeting Glimpse's article on the performance of Embassies during this?
Also someone else I know got sent loads of passports for other people who she didn't know via the new "system"!
I want to moan about KFC. I had a combo fillet meal about noon and by 3pm was starving hungry again - what's the point of that?

I don't think that was an *actual* chicken filet, I think it was more of a small piece of meat that dreamed of being a filet. lol There was barely a whiff on there!

I didn't see the link, where abouts is it? Sam went to embassy today, was told there is nothing they can do as no employees there at the moment as they flew back to England. He asked when will they be back, to which they replied, 'maybe ten days, maybe a month, maybe two months'. Helpful ay.

want me to send some Viagra over?
Is that OTC?
and very well advertized, certainly in the pharmacy ferret and I went to for her *bag full of narcotics
* will soon become suitcase full
I can get free Viagra in T'Egypt... it's not what you know
The Embassy buggered off the day afer I did, that is when we knew we made the right decision to leave. I have heard they will be back this week though as the KLM and BA flights are full of workers returning to Cairo and they will be needed to offer the pathetic little service they offered in the 1st instance.
I daren't say my gripe incase people assume I am talking about them

I like how Mubarak apparently knew all along he was stepping down but wanted to offshore his bullion and billions first...

It's the links isn't it? It's ok Cheeky. I know your aversion to links and I promise to stop it. Well, I'll only post them on special occasions from now on

I wish people would eff off FB though posting You-Tube songs... (no one on here need fret)
I have one guy who spends his life posting shite... and continual posts about Egypt on top with youtube footage to boot! I would love to block him but sometimes he isn't so pointless but scrolling on a BB takes FOREVER when lyrics are attached.
Gripe over

Ah... FB. There is a girl on mine (no one here) who has spent the last week posting "woe is me" cack about being a poor, hard done by student. And we're talking about 20 posts a day.
Took every ounce of my willpower not to post back and give her a bit of perspective.
Is there any way you can bar one person from your feed without barring everyone or blocking that person completely?

Yes, this one's a bit like that. Once she gets a reply she's happy as Larry, letting us all know she's decided she's bisexual and is wearing her granny's undies and posting pics of her skinny dipping.
I'm so pleased for her
Ah, I'm so proud. Now I feel I have really entered into the true spirit of the bItching thread

I block nearly all the apps and games. It's a shame because somethings come round that I want to do but then I click the link and it says 'allow us full access to your entire life' so I decline and then block the app.

I do worry I'll lose people on FB because of my game playing but hopefully people will just hide the games and not moi

I think if you block the application, as opposed to hiding the wall posts, it will completely disappear.
