Are there any apartment complexes that have 1 and 2 bedrooms for rent start at 400 to 600 USD?

$400 would be a bit over 2000 LE, apartments for that price are available but you need a bit of time to look around and they are are usually not located in the nicest streets/areas.

For $600/3500 LE you can get a nice apartment.

Are you interested in furnished or unfurnished?

Furnished is much easier to find than unfurnished, but it will be almost impossible for you to find a place from abroad. The best solution is to come here and then start looking.

I agree with Dalia, seeking accomodation within Ma'adi is much easier and cheaper to actually be in the area so you can view and negotiate with owners as opposed to going through rip-off agents.

Also, the rental network is more prevalent within the immediate community as many owners do not like to deal with companies as they lose their own commission.

The adverts you'll see on the internet are usually from agents. But there are sometimes one or two on here -
