your Egyptian husband will practice English conversation with you, and he will be 'number 1 English conversationalist' lol do not worry! Egyptians pick up English when they have no choice..and then it will be great if he types and reads like you...don't you think? [Confused] [Wink]

Maybe you & your husband can practice your english together?? [Big Grin]

Personally, I would never marry a man that I could not fully communicate with. My Jordanian husband taught himself english when he was 10 or 11. His english is exceptional. He can read, write and speak it with no problems and we have no communication issues whatsoever.

I am learning Arabic with this program. http://www.byki.com/FLSIndPage.pl?Lang=GA11&engine=adwords!9236&keyword=before+you+know+it&match_type=&gclid=CLqkp_zkp40CFRE4OAodij35zw
You can down load a free version to try. It's pretty good, IMHO.

It is English - that's how many Londoners speak English! My aim was to demonstrate that learning the formal language as well as the slang language has much to recommend it! [Big Grin]

I think you're missing the point, dear. Perhaps if you brush up on your own English then you can teach your hubby to be. You wouldn't want him to think that the way you write (I'm hoping you don't speak like that as well) is the proper way....otherwise forget about getting a good job.

hahaha you are fun tina, anyway, no i didnt teach my husband english, he learned long before i met him i am sure. I did teach a hispanic person english a couple years back, lol that was trick since i dont speak spanish at all. Funny though they learn english so fast and i still do not know spanish and they are now fluent in english??? I am learning how to speak arabic but writing and reading it, hmm that is going to take some years. I think i will concentrate on speaking it first. I wish you luck in your adventures with this.

im with u it will take yrs to learn to wirte arabic but in the end its better to learn different languages especiall for work

Well of course no one has to be perfect, but since we are typing and reading instead of talking and listening it behooves one to write as effectively for the reader as possible. Otherwise it's just too annoying to read.

And I hope that the world does not assume that everyone who writes like that is American, but I'm sad to say you're probably right. Sad state of affairs I must say. [Frown]
