Why frown at the way the world was made? Straighter more oily hair is less of a cooling mechanism and i don't believe the more pole-ward folks world wide need any more heat escaping from their heads.
I do know that in the winter games players on the side lines would all huddle in groups with their hands kept near the warmest region of their bodies, and for some with no remnant of shame, literally in the pants (ofcouse there are always girdles and underwear underneath).
Second, i know for a fact that there are people of the opposite genderwith hair down their less curly than those on my head.
