I guess I asking a learned KMT specialist(like asur)--I am trying to find the name of the African(KMT) goddess figure that was from approximently 3500 BCE. Her images were found from Congo to Libya. She has her arms raised to her sides above her head ,her torso is small as is her head(some have called her a bird goddess, but I think that title is a European concoction)I have been told that it is Nut mother of Isis but I am not sure --Help? Thanks and Peace

^ First, I've never heard of an image of an Egyptian goddess being found as far south as the Congo, unless you have evidence. Second, sorry to say but your description is rather vague-- many goddesses hold their arms above their heads in a gesture of pre-eminence and many have small heads and torsos. Do you have any other descriptions of her-- specifically a hieroglyph symbol on her head if she wasn't zoomorphic??

Hello!
Thank you for your response--I do not know how to send the images to this website I will keep trying--If you go on the internet she is also called Nathor-Nile River Goddess. Her statue is in the Brooklyn Museum and in one information site, her images were also found in graves of Mohamerian near Edfu. She is from a very early period 4000 to 3600 BCE Mr. Asur Please respond Thanks

^ I will try to find it. Welcome to the forum, by the way. The Egyptology section is usually a good place to find info on ancient Egypt but every now and then the racial loons from the actual Ancient Egypt section spill out here.

P.S. to post an image you have to put the url in your reply. You get it by right clicking on a picture or image, select properties, and copy the URL. You then paste the URL like so .

Oh I see what you're talking about now!

You are referring to the Neolithic female figurine-- the one below.

-

^ The arms are upraised in the form of cattle horns, which is also seen contemporary Nubian figurines which are similar only in a seated position. As for it having a bird head, that part isn't as clear. The head is merely a small nub with a curved point in the front, and other than that is not well defined.

I will say that female figurines with such arms are widespread during both Naqada I and II periods, and is even depicted on rock paintings and in ceramics.

Where is the evidence of the figure being present in the Congo??
