According to this, the Amarna period mummies seem to be related to the people of the Great Lakes Region.

I found an interesting connection.

Compared with these Tutsi:

Not to mention that the Tutsi are "elongated" and are said to have migrated from the North. And Uganda is where the Mountains of the Moon were is just north of Rwanda.

In short, yes they are as most African populations.

As we can see Ramses III's genetic profile (top picture) is more prevalent in African regions like the Great Lakes, Southern Africa, Tropical West Africa, Horn of Africa and the Sahel.

The shared ancestry between Ancient Egyptians and other African populations for the most part probably dates from a period before the creation of the Ancient Egyptian state but after the main OOA migration (since non-African regions don't match Ramses III's DNA profile very much).

Ramesses II seems to have had a dark complexion and straight hair.
The seated statue in the Diop comparision is Ramesses II, the mummy above.
The shape of mummy's face seems unlike the painted relief.
It has some similarities to the Tutsi and some differences.
One unrealistic thing we see in many of the paintings is a front view of the eye on a side view head position.

I corrected the table above (Table 2 instead of Table 1).

Since I'm at it, I can add the DNA Tribes quote from their document:
quote:
Specifically, both of these ancient individuals inherited the alleles D21S11=35 and CSFIPO=7,
which are found throughout Sub-Saharan Africa but are comparatively rare or absent in other regions of
the world. These African related alleles are different from the African related alleles identified for the
previously studied Amarna period mummies (D18S51=19 and D21S11=34). This provides independent
evidence for African autosomal ancestry in two different pharaonic families of New Kingdom Egypt.

Western Egyptologists and Egyptian Egyptologist have done a DNA test of the mummies in the Cairo museum and compared the mummies DNA with African DNA. The result of the DNA comparaison was kept secret but there was an information leaked that states that the Egyptian mummies DNA match many African ethnic groups.

According to an Afrocentric researcher the ethnic groups who were the victims of genocide in Africa like the Tutsi, East Congoleses and Sierra Leoneans are the descendants of the Ancient Egyptians.

Sierra Leoneans are not one ethnic group.
