Please do not PM me mod requests.
PM is for private/personal messages
not for matters of moderation. And
the whole forum deserves to know
about changes that effect them.

Please use a sticky thread
to make moderation requests.
  • - Here's an idea.
     - They gots ta go
     - Hang the bastard!
     - SPOTLIGHT
Moderation does not mean
cleaning up your posts for
you after the edit function
times out.

Everyone has 2 hrs to think
about and alter/delete a post.
Otherwise it remains an as is
public record.

I thank you all in advance for
handling matters you can handle
yourself with a little forethought
and not tying me up with stuff
that's not administrative.

Also in case somebody missed the memo,
I do not moderate ANCIENT EGYPT at all,

unless it is something illegal that could
jeopardize the site causing web regulatory
agencies to shut it down if reported.

That'd be ok, except I often have 'forced' breaks between available public library computer times. 2 hours is kinda thin. But not an issue.

It might actually be only 1 hr
I think sometimes it stretches
to 2 hrs if constant editing
is going on, I, and others
often continue composing
after initially posting
to hold position.

You might want to write the owner.

I think when I first came here
posts could be edited whenever.
Also had an internal search engine back then.

Now it is what it is.
We all have to deal.
Me too!

Anyway thanks for the feedback -

Please reread the opening post.

I'm going to post any more PMs sent
to me that aren't personal or private,
but are requests that will effect the
forum (thread/post alterations) into
a !sticky unless it includes a good
reason why it shouldn't go public.

Real feedback that's not just telling
me: "Do this or do that to my post or
so and so's post."; is vital and needed.

My ideal is I'm not in this alone but
all forum members are directing positive
change evolving ES EGYPTOLOGY to a new
level surpassing what it ever was in
the past and attracting everybody
from fresh learners to professionals
of all races, creeds, colours, and
genders who can respect human differences.

On ES EGYPTOLOGY forum we don't need
anybody who makes anybody else feel
uncomfortable for who and what they are.

I'm trying to implement all positive
suggestions that were posted just
before and just after I accepted,
as well as the thoughtful PMs from
lovers of ES E (you all know who
you all are and so keep PMing me
please, without your feedback I am
just about rudderless).
