But on the other hand it may be in part racist since mainstream Egyptologists like Petrie tried to tie origins of Egyptian civilization to Mesopotamia. Most of those theories have been debunked and it is widely accepted that the civilization developed almost exclusively in Africa. How much non-Egyptian Africans contributed to Egyptian civilization is what is being debated. [/QB][/QUOTE]
