"White Syrians" are different than the "black Syrians" or Canaaniyya?Phoenicians/Keftiu etc. who originated in Arabia and were the original Semitic speakers and Arab culture. Early Syrians spoke semitic Hurrian and other dialects for the most part adopted by earlier Afro-Asiatic, i.e. Ethiopic populations. [/QB][/QUOTE]
