Chef Mick, music was the furthest thing from my mind when I decided to stop by here. I clicked on your link wondering if that was the same Lilly Was Here by Candy Dulfer and yup it was. Now do me a favor please and see if you can find Señor Blues by David Sanborn; it's on the same style as the music Candy plays; not necessarily that mellow as 'Lilly' but hip. Thanks.

Micky, Elissa's song is for a broken hearted woman telling her man to remember what she'd done for him and not to keep hurting her feelings and make it harder on her.
In Karina's song she tells him not to mess with a woman like her..

Thank you much Dzosser. I've heard probably three renditions of Horace Silver's Senor Blues over the many years but never one with singing such as Taj Mahal. The singing adds a new touch to it. Well done. Thanks again.
Chef Mick, your link to Sanborn's Chicago Song is sayin' something. Sanborn , once wound up , really runs with his horn. He reminds me of the old-school jazz musicians. But the beauty of this type of jazz is it is really melodic and rhythmic. That's why I wanted to refresh myself on the couple of minutes I heard him play Senor Blues several years back. I never can remember to actually get down to buying the cd when I'm out and about.
You should hear David kick on Coming Home Baby.* A real shout out.
*An old Herbie Mann tune.

While Herbie Mann's version (flute) from the late 60s to early 70s is worthy itself I do believe David made him go sit in the corner with his ''newer'' version.
I have that cd sitting right alongside many others (of different types of music) in my car so when I get out for a breath of fresh air I crank up the amplifiers and subwoofers in the car and move on with it; of course I don't disturb the peace: well, only in spurts. (Who says old folks don't know how to enjoy themselves.)
Thanks you for your time.
