Does anyone have information on wineries in Egypt? Where are they located? The wine I had on my last trip was actually pretty good.

I have a British friend that works for the wineries here. What do you need to know? Want a tour?

Hi Debbie, Yes, I wanted to see if they offered tours and where they were located. On my next trip to Egypt I want to break away from the standard tourist routes and do something a bit different. Visit a winery, see a farm, maybe a few walking tours through interesting areas of Cairo...that sort of thing. I should be back after January. Thanks, Jeff

Doffa, That is where they USED to brew the beer, but I'm not even sure they are doing that in town there anymore. The wineries are out of the city. And I believe he wants to see the process, not just purchase the product.
But for anyone that only wants to purchase the product, there are outlet stores called Drinkies all over town. They also deliver. And, some grocery stores carry the wine and beer.
