My dad was (still is) crazy about Tina Turner so when i was born (1979) he insisted i should be named Tina. My mom always wanted a cute little girl named Sophie. My parents got my name from an old English TV sitcom called Butterflies. The main character was named Ria. Thank god I wasn’t a boy, my mum was leaning towards Amadeus.

I was watchin a funny danish movie called Anja & Viktor when i was pregnant with my son. The young boy in movie looked so funny and sweet so i said to my (at that time) hubby : why dont we name him Viktor. Hubby agreed but wanted it to be spelled Victor so it sounded more international So his named after a danish movie. Daugthers name i found i a name book. Listed 10 different names i likes and then let hubby deside. He choose Emilie.

Gosh do I hate my first name ("Mom, how could you do this to me??" ) - that's why I only use my nickname. She chose my middle name in honor of her little baby sister who died during WWII of pneumonia.

Was to be called victoria but when mum realised what my initials would be VD (which stands for verneral disease dont know if i spelt that right) she changed it to Jane after granny of course....

I was named after a movie series in the 60's.IT was a take off of the gidget movies- with Sandra Dee. It was about a girl named Tammy who seems to end up in trouble all the time. Tammy and the Doctor-Tammy and the Millionaire. I watched a few of them. they are cute. I was given a family middle name after one of my fathers aunts. My brother is named after Paul- from the Beatles.
