Attention!

For this letter is strictly personal, intimate and confidential.

Forgive this unusual manner of contacting you, but this particular letter is of exceptional and very private nature.

There is absolutely going to be a great doubt and distrust in your heart in respect of this email, coupled with the fact that, so many miscreants have taken possession of the Internet to facilitate their nefarious deeds, thereby making it extremely difficult for genuine and legitimate business class persons to get attention and recognition.

Trust is definitely the noblest trait in the world, and I urge you to trust my sincerity and the word of simple and humble person of faith, who in the name of love for her equals is willing to accomplish the task of doing business with a trusted and transparent person. It is up you to decide weather this letter deserves your trust and confidentiality.

I am a lawyer, I have a deceased client who had an investment with a Private
Equity Trust Company for safe keeping only. In depositing the fund my
clients Deposited this fund as SAFE DEPOSIT using a foreign partner as
Beneficiary because he was
working formerly with our government and he did not mention any
name.

Therefore, I will appreciate you to stand as his foreign associate to
claim this fund from the security/finance company and transfer it to
your account or any other nominated account for investments.

I will give you further detail once I have your attention.
Kindly reply to:leedfunds@yahoo.com

Yours sincerely,

Mr.Isa Ibrahim.

I have an even better idea.
And it's not even a tired old scam like this.
I would like each and every person in Egypt to send me LE1. that's all, one Egyptian pound.

dont they have any people in Nigeria with bank accounts?

I know people DO fall for this scam or scams like this. I was talking to an Egyptian man who had actually passed on all his details to the scammer and really expected 700,000 Euro in his account. Even had 'real' emails to show me it was real with UK Govt letterheads and a MOBILE number for the office and a 'real' certificate that he had won some major prize in a draw he didnt even enter! So many of these scams are based on the old story of 'widow of government minister' or similar, and blah blah. But Surely this implies a Corrupt minister, and the implied 'widow' is asking for people to help get hold of this dirty stolen money.
Some of the mugs taken in by this are just plain greedy and crooked.

I once got an HSBC fraudulent e-mail from London branch with fake names, phone numbers, header, logo..the works, they wanted my Cairo bank account number so as to correct some dumb mistake with a lump of money that was debited to my visa debit account by mistake and needed to check it with me and confirm the procedures online so as to fix the problem.. [Roll Eyes]

I was supposed to panic and respond instantly, all I did was forward a copy to my accnt. manager for laughs.. [Big Grin]

Twice now I have experienced via email debt collecting agencies requesting money for a debt I clearly do not have.

The minute I respond asking for evidence and mention the DP agency (they have an address in the UK that isn't mine, but a relatives) they simply vanish.

My issue is how many people trust others words too much.

We hear of con-artists here all the time but when they infiltrate your life via other ways how many people believe their words.

NEVER give money, financial details or personal info that can assist with fraud to others!!!

It amazes me how they get your mobile number - had a strange number ring my mobile it was a one bell, three or four times - thought perhaps it was an egyptian friend, or someone who had a sim in egypt for a phone they used there - i checked the number on the internet and it was the Nigerian scammers again - computer generated - if you ring it back obvious you get a huge charge. But theres worst scams where there are death threats etc - go to great lengths some people . Look up the internet fraud advisory group - the scammers use yahoo g mail and other accounts - for example Fedex/ postage accounts etc some look vey legit -

I think here they get mine via Otlob... and I am not the only one thinking this!

I rarely to never answer unknown numbers but sometimes, circumstances, I have no option.. then BANG... harassment!

I know one fast food guy fired for calling all the westerners on his screen!!! Saddo!

There are guys on here advertising their business with a Yahoo... don't even bother! If they are real they are very unprofessional!

I have had mails for penis enlargement, Viagra (approx 20 a day), hsbc scam they locked my card blah blah, Amazon, some post place has a parcel, umpteen 'thanks for opening your account click here to authorize', download this to unlock your bank card, your account has been changed please download this zip file, I mean wtf do they think we are stoopid? I have forwarded emails to hsbc phishing bit too and had confirmation back its a scam. Any bank ones its best to forward as all banks have a place to report them to, it helps towards stopping crap like this if you send them on.

God its bloody HOT and HUMID here today! [Frown]

Apparently they have a shortage of cars for sale in Nigeria also. When we listed our car for sale in Cairo on Craigslist, I got an email from some individual who claimed to be an American woman with the name Jenny Burbank. Seems she wanted to buy to car for her son Kokomo Bobo who lived in Nigeria and wanted us to ship it to him. WTF!!!!

Family of deposed African Head of State baffled by lack of interest in his millions
The widow of the former Head of State of a small African nation has expressed surprise at the lack of interest from the numerous people she has emailed offering a share of her husband’s millions.

The family of the late King of Fakumba, have apparently sent ‘dozens’ of emails to suitable ‘good and responsible’ people across the UK offering them a share of the fortune, in return for a mere £2500. But as of yet, there has been no response.

Queen Echinacea and her daughter the Princess Jasmine are now concerned that people suspect the offer is too good to be true.

‘It is very strange, maybe people are unaware of the Kingdom of Fakumba, as we admittedly are a very small nation,’ the Queen remarked, ‘but we are easy enough to find, being north of South Africa and east of Nigeria. Despite being a very small country we are rich in oil, gas, gold, diamonds and numerous other precious stones, and it is perhaps unusual that more people aren’t aware of our homeland.’

The Fakumba royal family are now in hiding, but had managed to withdraw over GBP4.6million from bank accounts before the monarchy was overthrown in a military coup led by the former head of the army General Madeupi,

‘I really cannot stress how important it is that we receive the money we need to flee to Europe,’ begs the Queen in her email, ‘where we will be so happy to reward our saviour with half the money to say thank you for their assistance. My beautiful daughter Jasmine would certainly be willing to do anything for any man out there prepared to help us. However, for now we remain trapped in a safehouse in the hills of Fakumba, with my late husband’s vast fortune hidden in four large pillowcases.’

The lack of respondents has been blamed on a new cynicism surrounding the veracity of the internet, and echoes the case of Dr Augustus Shenckelmann who has personally emailed thousands of people to promote a new cream proven to tackle erectile dysfunction. ‘It’s incredible,’ sighs Dr Shenckelmann, ‘it’s almost as if people are not really interested in the latest developments in penile technology.’

Thinking of it seriously now [Cool]

Being North of South Africa and East of Nigeria pmsl.. anyone good at geography will know that doesn't help lol.

But if it does pinpoint it for you go there and find me 4 large pillowcases!!!

I have read about how scammers get your emails today in the first place, when you open unknown links spyware is attached to your files, Spyware spys on your computer and reports back the information to other sites on the Internet. This can affect you in various ways. One way is to send personal information to the Internet.

After spending 2 days cleaning my hardrive and removing trojans, viruses and spyware I won't be opening anymore links on here as some addresses cannot be identified and some link to ropey sites.
