Green Mall, Zahran Mall, and outside of Alex is the Carrefour Mall.

http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Africa/Egypt/Muhafazat_al_Iskandariyah/Alexandria-2009064/Shopping-Alexandria-TG-C-1.html

I know there is 4 malls in Alex.

http://www.alex4all.com/news/enIndex.php?id=97

Look around, what he is refering to might be considered part of the Alexandria Free Zone. Action 1 Mall might be new or in construction phase.

thanks, pascha!. i found a forum on the site you've mentioned but it is in Arabic. I do not read and speak the language. *Sigh*
he said the mall is operational and that he has a "partition" ( he probabaly means "stall" or "store")there (ACTION 1 Mall) which sells computers and offers PC repair, networks, and other related services.
he gave me the company name. do you know anyone from Alexandria who might be near Cairo St. or Sidi Beshr Kebly?

Hmm is more European like in shopping stores or more American brands?

Cripes I would die for a Hanna Anderson store in Egypt!

There are some mother/daughter outfits that I would love to try on in the store with my little monster.

not quite sure whther European or American brands .... i havent got the chance to look.

I'd die for a Zara store here........ I like it, it's not very expensive & got a simple feminine taste....... I dont like extreeley fashionable eccentric clothes.

Mango in City Stars is not very good & is much more expensive than in Europe......... they also got some eccentric stuff (yuck) but still I manage to pick out a few nice outfits every now & then..... the things I'd buy would be quite cheap but good. they got Benetton Sissly too...... rediculously expensive

I dont think we got many American brands here. Infact, i haven seen any....... or i could be wrong

Stupid question...... is Benetton American or Europen??? [Confused]

Benetton is European, but overtime its become a hybrid between the two.

I did a JIT (Just In Time = supply chain management concept) paper on Zara.

Timberland has a few stores in Cairo and thats an American brand.

THe owner is spanish and he had created the "Just in Time" concept of supply chain management in retail.

http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:L_v77gtGqyYJ:diamondconsultants.com/PublicSite/ideas/perspectives/downloads/INSIGHT%2520-%2520Market%2520Agility_single.pdf+%22JIT%22+Zara&hl=en &gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=7

ZARA, the Spanish-based clothing retail division of Inditex Group, invested in new technologies and processes to reduce
fashion risk and increase speed to market through advanced analytics and real-time feedback. By copying premium designers, ZARA reduced new design time to just one month compared to an industry standard of six months. ZARA also shortened production roadblocks, to an industry-leading four-weeks, by pre-booking factories and streamlining them to handle any type of product request. At the same time, ZARA equipped salespeople with the technology to send trends and feedback to headquarters via handhelds and cameras, increasing analytic and forecasting capabilities.
All of these efforts spurred unmatched revenue and profit growth and drove ZARA to EBIT margins of nearly 14 percent, vastly ahead of retailing peers.

You can eithern google "JIT" Zara or use http://scholar.google.com/

You'll find hundreds of great studies in google scholar.
