Yeah, I get strange looks being married to an American and don't drive myself. What can I do - I am just scared though I tried to make the driving license before 10 years ago. Let my hubby drive.
Thanks god Germany is more built up and if you live inside a city you have a quite good transportation system available not to mention my walk to the bakery in the morning is merely three minutes away.

Transportation in Germany is so good, and so clean. I was so impressed when I visited Munich, I could have had a picnic on the station platform. And all facilities for disabled and childrens push chairs, wonderful. Even the buses let you on at the back with your buggy. UK transport is expensive and dirty. I don't blame you for not driving in Germany.
