I'm listening to The Reason by Hoobastank, Non Je Ne Regrette Rien by Edith Piaf, and 3endi-seqa-feek by Fairooz.

Lots of Arabic music. A radio station in Cairo just went to streaming audio.

http://www.mazika.com/ar/NogoumFM.aspx?nogoumfminternational3-13nov2005=otlob

Radio Sawa, which is a mix of Arabic and Western pop music.

www.radiosawa.com

Also one of my all-time favorite American bands, R.E.M. My current pick of their songs is "Leaving New York", but I love a lot of their older stuff too. You can watch the video for that song (middle of the page under "Music Videography" short advertisement loads just before song).

P.S. Hey, "Automatic for the People"! I've been wanting to ask you ever since I saw your name if that's where you got it. Is it a reference to the R.E.M. album or some other meaning?

A load of oldies:

Leaving on a Jet Plane - John Denver
Summer Rain - Belinda Carlisle
It's Got to Be Perfect - Fairground Attraction
Caravan of Love - Housemartin's
I'll Be Watching You - Sting
Right Here Waiting for You - Richard Marx
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship
Do Anything for Love - Meatloaf

It's like a trip down memory lane. Amazing how many memories come to mind when you hear these oldies. [Smile] Gives you goose pimples.

I'm listening to Drowning Pool right now. I listen to music that fits my mood. I'm starting to dig this band called AFI. The lead singer sounds like Rob from The Cure. Oh yes, I love The Cure and well, the 80's in general. [Big Grin]

Goodbye my lover - james blunt

it goes like this

Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what's mine by eternal right.
Took your soul out into the night.
It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I am a dreamer but when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time,
When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.
I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.
I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow

And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

havent we all thought of that towards someone that we really loved and lost [Smile] thats so true
