The Brace et al study is probably the most interesting. It clusters ancient egyptians with Indians "Hindoos", who are obviously Caucasoid.

If you look at the craniometric and dental data, these cluster the ancient egyptians with Caucasoids. There is no argument here at all. There is simply no way to insert sub-saharan african blacks (negroids) into the picture. This is why you're left with spamming debunked garbage about limbs.

debunked all here -

quote:
Tropical limb proportions are not exclusive to Sub-Saharan Africans and never have been.

"The elongation of the distal segments of the limbs is also clearly related to the dissipation of metabolically generated heat. Since heat stress and latitude are clearly related, one would expect to find a correlation between the two sets of traits that are associated with adaptation to survival in areas of great ambient temperature-namely skin color and limb proportions. This is clearly the case in such areas as equatorial Africa, the tropical portions of South Asia, and northern Australia, although there is little covariation with other sets of inherited traits. In this regard, it is interesting to note that the limb proportions of the Predynastic Naqada people in Upper Egypt are reported to be “super-negroid,” meaning that the distal segments are elongated in the fashion of tropical Africans (Robins and Shute, 1986). It would be just as accurate to call them “super-Veddoid or “super-Carpentarian” since skin color intensification and distal limb elongation is apparent wherever people have been long-term residents of the tropics. The term “super-tropical” would be better since it implies the results of selection associated with a given latitude rather than the more “racially loaded” term “negroid.”"

http://wysinger.homestead.com/brace.pdf

Neighboring peoples in South America from related ethnic groups were found to have evolved markedly different limb proportions due to one group having adapted to a higher, colder elevation than the others from lower, more tropical elevations.

"Living human populations from high altitudes in the Andes exhibit relatively short limbs compared with neighboring groups from lower elevations as adaptations to cold climates characteristic of high-altitude environments."

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ajpa.20137/abstract

Until quite recently, most Europeans -- who ultimately expanded into Europe from the Near East, not directly from tropical Africa -- had tropical limb ratios.

"Upper Palaeolithic humans not only were taller and had more robust bones in comparison with the Linear Band Pottery Culture Neolithic people; they also had longer limbs, a shorter trunk and, similar to modern African people, very long forearms and crural segments. The low brachial index* is a very recently acquired characteristic of White Europeans."

http://hormones.gr/preview.php?c_id=127

Even African Americans do not consistently show the tropical limb ratios of their West African ancestors. While some are still tropically adapted, many others actually have a cold-adapted body plan as a consequence of both admixture with cold-adapted peoples (modern Europeans and Native Americans) and localized adaptation. And this change in their limb ratios at the population level did not take place over thousands of years, but instead over just a few hundred years of living in North America.

"The argument from morphology depends on the presupposition that body proportions are to a large degree genetically controlled. The fact that contemporary African Americans do not have tropical limb proportions but have in a few hundred years changed to more European body proportions (through adaptation to new climate plus intermixture with Europeans and First Nations Peoples) puts this claim into perspective (Pat Shipman, adjunct professor of biological anthropology, Pennsylvania State University, personal communication, 14 May 2004)."

You are honestly the dumbest poster on this board, even worse than Zaharan.

Anyone who knows the basics, realizes the African Ethiopia of antiquity was not the Ethiopia of today.

LOL No, YOU are the dumbest poster in the history of this board's existence!! Where the hell did I ever say anything about Ethiopia of "today"?! I am well aware that the region called 'Ethiopia' in ancient times has nothing to do with the modern day country, nitwit! That's ONE of your many psychological problems is that you read things that aren't there which is another sign of delusion!

'Ethiopia' as first coined by the Greeks is simply the southern lands which include not only Africa but Arabia and perhaps the Levant. By their various descriptions, all these regions were inhabited by blacks.

LOL You come in this board lecturing us like you're an expert when even the most basic layman can debunk your claims. My knowledge on ancient Egypt and African history in general as well as anthropology very well surpasses your own years ago when I was in high school, so don't even start you British buffoon! [Big Grin]

By the way you deny the single African origins of mankind even though that is the major consensus among scientists!

The pattern of haplotype variation and LD observed at the PLAT locus suggests a recent common ancestry of non-African populations, from a small population originating in eastern Africa.
These data indicate that, throughout much of modern human history, sub-Saharan Africa has maintained both a large effective population size and a high level of population substructure. [meaning diversity]

-- Sarah Tishkoff et. al 1998

Such data includes mitochondrial DNA (maternal lineages) via British geneticist Stephen Oppenheimer as described in his book below...

 -

..which was also made into a TV program by Discovery Channel and the BBC. Data also includes Y-chromosomal DNA (paternal lineages) via American geneticist Spencer Wells as described in his book below...

 -

.. which was also made into a TV program by PBA.

These three scientists are just a few of countless who have no choice but to accept the genetic and archaeological data. Of course there are a few naysayers and deniers who hold out due to their own biases and prejudices but oh well. There are always a few who don't accept reality such as YOURSELF! [Big Grin]

^Witless buffoon, will you never learn? Your new
"position" remains pathetically weak on 5 points.
Let us school you again:

DEBUNK 1: The alleged "Massive Study Dismisses
A.E."Tropical" Limb Ratios"

1A- RIght off the bat this is simply pathetic. You
try to spin the study as if it is something new
but it is 1993, almost 20 years old and long
superseded. Even more laughable, the BRace study
deals with CRANIA, fool, crania, NOT limb proportions.
How incompetent can "the white faithful" of the "Hamitic" Union be?

1B- As for the "massive" study, Brace has been
dealt with years ago. His calculations are fine,
but his sampling was problematic, as people like
KEita noted. He excluded key Egyptian populations
like the ancient Badari who cluster with
Africans, and used a stereotypical 'true negro'
African construct to get "Caucasoid" matches.

 -

-------------------------------------------

DEBUNK 2: "Other" people have tropical proportions

This is supposed to be some sort of significant point?
Sure other tropical populations have tropical adapations.
That is no secret or at issue. The main point is
that the migrants were tropically adapted people
that came from Africa, which you keep denying,
even after your own citations say you are wrong.
ANd the second main point is that as far as Egypt
the people who founded the Nile Valley Dynastic
civ were those tropically adapted sub-Saharans
as Mary Lefkowitz herself admits.

 -
-----------------------------------

DEBUNK 3: Your "supporting reference" destroys your OOA denials. You said:- QUOTE:

The low brachial index* is a very recently acquired characteristic of White Europeans."
http://hormones.gr/preview.php?c_id=127

^^Dumbass, do you just realize you debunked yourself?
You have been denying OOA, and been denying any
tropical adaptations in your precious whites. But
your own "supporting reference" says that those
Early Europeans did have the tropical adaptations.
You just destroyed all the denials you have been
making over several thread. Dude, how stupid can
you be?

Furthermore the "white faithful" of the Hamitic Union make
another glaring mistake. Your own reference says:
The low brachial index* is a very recently acquired characteristic of White Europeans.

^^Idiots.. If those indexes are very recently acquired that
means that BEFORE they got those low indices, they were
more like tropical Africans. Fools.. your own reference
undercuts your denial.. HEre is the full quote from your
own reference:

"Upper Palaeolithic humans not only were taller and had more robust bones
in comparison with the Linear Band Pottery Culture Neolithic people; they also
had longer limbs, a shorter trunk and, similar to modern African people, very long
forearms and crural segments.

---Michael Hermanussen (2003) Stature of early Europeans. HORMONES 2003, 2(3):175-178

^^Pathetic idiots! Your own citation destroys your argument.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

DEBUNK 4: ONLY "some" aFRICAN aMERICANS ARE
TROPICALLY ADAPTED. You admit it, but then turn
around and quote a professor who denies it
altogether! LMAO! Fools! WHich is it?

----------------

Here is the bogus "Hamitic Union" blurb:

"Even African Americans do not consistently show the tropical limb ratios of their West African ancestors.

LOL... pathetic "hamitic union" buffoons.. The fact
of US Black-WHite admixture does not at all hide
the clear tropical limb adaptations of Black Americans.
They clearly show such limb proportions as do ancient Egyptians.
The bogus "rebuttal" is just that, pathetically bogus.
Is this all you people got?

 -
---------------------------------------------------------

DEBUNK 5: "THE WHITE FAITHFUL" quote a professor
in "support" but they professor denies their own
argument offered earlier. They say, OK well we admit
that only "some" African Americans have tropical
proportions,, but then your own "expert witness"-
your professor, denies that African Americans do
altogether. Idiots! Their own "expert witness"
contradicts their argument. LMAO!

-------------
The bogus "Hamitic Union" proferred an email blurb
by one "adjunct" professor Pat SHipman as a "supporting
reference." It says:

"The argument from morphology depends on the presupposition that body proportions are to a large degree genetically controlled. The fact that contemporary African Americans do not have tropical limb proportions but have in a few hundred years changed to more European body proportions (through adaptation to new climate plus intermixture with Europeans and First Nations Peoples) puts this claim into perspective (Pat Shipman, adjunct professor of biological anthropology, Pennsylvania State University, personal communication, 14 May 2004)."
----

^^ Pathetic fools... SHipman's blurb does nothing whatsoever
to bolster your denials of the tropical adaptations
of both US Blacks, Egytians and early modern
Europeans. SHipman is clearly wrong in saying
that US blacks do not retain tropical body plans.

The fact that she is saying that email and not
in a published paper tells us she would not dare
make such a glaring error in a peer reviewed venue.
ANd while US blacks have changed to a bit less
tropical body proportions, due to admixture, they
clearly show tropical retentions, a fact noted in
peer reviewed research since the 1950s. Notice
also how SHipman is reluctant to say more- she hedges
and ends the "personal communication" blurb by
saying "puts things in perspective."

Furthermore, in fact, tropical adaptations are strongly genetically
controlled. They can go up and down here and there
with admixture, but they STILL show through clearly
as scholar after scholar shows. The "personal communication"
by SHipman sounds either bogus, or something she was
"guided" into saying. But it makes no difference
whatsoever. Shipman or no SHipman, credible, published,
peer-reviewed experts, much mor credible than a
part-time "adjunct";s manipulated "personal communication"
show that yes indeed: (a) African Americans show
clear tropical adaptations, and (b) Limb proportions
are heavily genetically embedded. Small proportions
of race mixing with US whites do not change this
reality.

WIther the "white faithful"? Your own "expert witness"
undermines one of your arguments. Is this BS all
you people got? Hell, send in Madilda and Dienekes the Greek!
They at least presented greater challenge to the vets
of the old days.

Not only is it out of date by around 5 years, but a lot of it is wrong in the first place, I only linked to it for a brief overview.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/06/120604155705.htm

This is a June, 2012 article.

Out of Africa, for pre-Homo, Homo and Humans has all been challenged. You ony cling to the "out of africa" and "everything = africa" thing because of your bogus political views.

 -

Pitiful failure on 2 counts:

1) Failure #1: Your own "supporting reference" says the fossils in
question are too weathered to offer any clear conclusion as to if they
are homo erectus, and (b) competent scientists say the Dmansi
specimens STILL represent hominids evolving from Africa originals. So
yea, there may have been subsequent development in Asia but the
originals were STILL from Africa. Your "just say no to OOA" is a
bust.

-----Debunk 1A: QUOTE from Article: " The presence of a tool-using
population on the edge of Europe so early hints that the northern
continent, rather than Africa, may have been the evolutionary
birthplace of H. erectus. Unfortunately, the fossils of the hominins
responsible for making the tools are not proving very helpful to the
debate. Fossilized bone fragments found in the same sedimentary
layers as the Dmanisi artefacts are too weathered to be identified as
belonging to any one species, so it is impossible to say for sure
whether the tools were made by H. erectus."

--Matt Kaplan. 2011. Human ancestors in Eurasia earlier than thought.
Nature magazine

-----Debunk 1B: QUOTE by Palentologist CHris Stringer:
"This alternative scenario has a small brained and small-bodied
pre-erectus species, perhaps comparable to Homo Hablis, or even a
late australopithecine, dispersing from Africa with primitive
tools over 2 million years ago, reaching the Far East and eventually,
FLores. In Asia this ancestral species also gave rise to the Dmanisi
people and Homo-erectus.."

--Chris Stringer (2012) Lone Survivors: How we came to be the only
human on earth

^^There you have it. The fossils offer little
firm conclusion due to their state AND the
ORIGINAL hominids are STILL from Africa,
which you keep denying again and again. And you
are debunked again and again by your own "supporting"
references...

Failure #2: ANthropoid primates 37 million years ago that may
have come to Africa STILL does not affect the migrations of HUMANS
out of Africa to colonize the world. We are dealing with HUMANS not
quasi ape-like primates 37 millions years past.

Said anthropoid primates may 37 million years ago have been around
in Asia and relatives may have wandered into Africa. Even so, this
STILL is irrelevant to your argument, which denies that humans
evolved in Africa and migrated out to colonize the globe. The 37
million years old primates were in Asia, but even if
the LIbyan fossils turn out to be related, it was
HUMANS that came out of Africa. OOA also has several variants-
replacement, interbreeding, etc. But no matter
the flavor, all variants hold the central point
that it is humans than came out of Africa. You
attempt to deny this, and repeatedly fail. All the
talking points you are getting from Anthroscape,
Stormfront, Skadi and other "biodiversity" places
are sheer nonsense, easily debunked. They may work
well as an "amen chorus" for "the white faithful"
in those venues, but in the real world they will
be exposed for the bunk they are.

^^Dumbass. YOU were the one who used the article as YOUR
"supporting reference". Now you are trying to back away from your
debunking by referring to a Wikipedia tag someone added? LMAO..
This is a new low for your idiocy. WHat? You went to the WIkipedia
page to add the tag and now use that as an escape hatch? Pathetic..
But It STILL doesn;t matter. WHat matters is that you cited the
article to support your argument. Instead the article text YOU
proffered, itself contradicted your argument. Now you are disavowing
YOUR OWN citation, essentially admitting defeat, and that your whole
argument was a fraud to begin with. Alack and alas.. pitiful buffoon...
why do you bother?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

RECAP 2

-----------------------------------------------

 -

THE ANGLO-IDIOT EXPOSED- PART 19: He says there is no
OOA but the very "supporting reference" he proffers directy contradicts
his claim.
-------------------------
Posted by Anglo_Pyramidologist (Member # 18853) on 07 May, 2012 08:45 AM:

OOA never happened.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiregional_origin_of_modern_humans

-----------------------------

The idiot gives a Wikipedia "reference" to back up his claim
but the very same "supporting reference" he gives
states that multi-regionalists acknowledge that
hominid species came from Africa in the first place.
Their argument is for continuity and distinct development
in separate locations AFTER the initial
OOA exit putting hominins in different places. This
approach STILL recognizes and acknowledges hominin OOA.

Quote from Anglo-Idiot's "supporting" reference:

"This species arose in Africa two million years ago as H. erectus and then spread out over the world, developing adaptations to regional conditions. Some populations became isolated for periods of time, developing in different directions, but through continuous interbreeding, replacement, genetic drift and selection, adaptations that were an advantage anywhere on earth would spread, keeping the development of the species in the same overall direction while maintaining adaptations to regional factors. By these mechanisms, surviving local varieties of the species evolved into modern humans, retaining some regional adaptations but with many features common to all regions.[10]

^^Note they say that their founding population Homo Erectus
came from Africa. In short, the ANglo-idiot's own
"supporting" reference contradicts his claim.

Ancient finds in the Western Desert of Egypt at Gebel Ramlah circa 5,000 BC show culture closely linked with indigenous tropical Africans of both the Saharan and sub-Saharan regions, not Europe or the Middle East. Dental studies put the inhabitants of Gebel Ramlah, closest to indigenous tropical African populations.

"During three seasons of research (in 2000, 2001 and 2003) carried out by the Combined Prehistoric Expedition at Gebel Ramlah in the southern part of the Egyptian Western Desert, three separate Final Neolithic cemeteries were discovered and excavated. Skeletal remains of 67 individuals, comprising both primary and secondary interments, were recovered from 32 discrete burial pits. Numerous grave goods were found, including lithics, pottery and ground stone objects, as well as items of personal adornment, pigments, shells and sheets of mica. Imports from distant areas prove far-reaching contacts.

Analysis of the finds sheds important light on the burial rituals and social conditions of the Final Neolithic cattle keepers inhabiting Ramlah Playa. This community, dated to the mid-fifth millennium B.C. (calibrated), was composed of a phenotypically diverse population derived from both North and sub-Saharan Africa. There were no indications of social differentiation. The deteriorating climatic conditions probably forced these people to migrate toward the Nile Valley where they undoubtedly contributed to the birth of ancient Egyptian civilization."

The study of ancient Egyptian skeletons from Amarna, Egypt reveals extensive tooth wear but very little dental crowding, unlike in modern Americans. In the early 20th century, Percy Raymond Begg focused his research on extreme tooth wear coincident with traditional diets to justify teeth removal during orthodontic treatment. Anthropologists studying skeletons that were excavated along the Nile Valley in Egypt and the Sudan have demonstrated reductions in tooth size and changes in the face, including decreased robustness associated with the development of agriculture, but without any increase in the frequency of dental crowding and malocclusion. For thousands of years, facial and dental reduction stayed in step, more or less. These analyses suggest it was not the reduction in tooth wear that increased crowding and malocclusion, but rather the tremendous reduction in the forces of mastication, which produced this extreme tooth wear and the subsequent reduced jaw involvement. Thus, as modern food preparation techniques spread throughout the world during the 19th century, so did dental crowding. This research provides support for the development of orthodontic therapies that increase jaw dimensions rather than the use of tooth removal to relieve crowding.

-"Despite the difference, Gebel Ramlah [the Western Desert- Saharan region] is closest to predynastic and early dynastic samples from Abydos, Hierakonpolis, and Badari.."

-..the Badarians were a "good representative of what the common ancestor to all later predynastic and dynastic Egyptian peoples would be like"...

-"A comparison of Badari to the Naqada and Hierakonpolis samples .. contradicts the idea of a foreign origin for the Naqada (Petrie, 1939; Baumgartel, 1970)"

-Evidence in favor of continuity is also demonstrated by comparison of individual samples. "Naqada and especially Hierakonpolis share close affinities with First-Second Dynasty Abydos..

-These findings do not support the concept of a foreign dynastic ''race''

-"Thus, despite increasing foreign influence after the Second Intermediate Period, not only did Egyptian culture remain intact (Lloyd, 2000a), but the people themselves, as represented by the dental samples, appear biologically constant as well."

(Joel D. Irish (2006). Who Were the Ancient Egyptians? Dental Affinities Among Neolithic Through Postdynastic Peoples. Am J Phys Anthropol. 2006 Apr;129(4):529-43.)

Africans have the highest dental diversity

"Previous research by the first author revealed that, relative to other modern peoples, sub-Saharan Africans exhibit the highest frequencies of ancestral (or plesiomorphic) dental traits... The fact that sub-Saharan Africans express these apparently plesiomorphic characters, along with additional information on their affinity to other modern populations, evident intra-population heterogeneity, and a world-wide dental cline emanating from the sub-continent, provides further evidence that is consistent with an African origin model." (Irish JD, Guatelli-Steinberg D.(2003) Ancient teeth and modern human origins: an expanded comparison of African Plio-Pleistocene and recent world dental samples. Hum Evol. 2003 Aug;45(2):113-44.)

The pattern is always the same. Moving from the South up to the North.

Dorky,

That term is used because the limb portion clusters with people from the South, Sahara/ Sahel. It's really that simple!

Later studies, with a much closer depth in samples.

Ancient Egyptians cluster much closer to other Egyptians and Nubians. A later study by Brace, (Brace 2005- The questionable contribution..) groups ancient Egyptian populations like the Naqada closer to Nubians and Somalis than European, Mediterranean or Middle Eastern populations, and places various Nubians samples closer to Tanzanian, Dahomeian, and Congoid data points than to Europeans and Middle easterners. The limb proportion studies of Zakrzewski (2003) (Zakrzewski, S.R. (2003). "Variation in ancient Egyptian stature and body proportions". American Journal of Physical Anthropology 121 (3): 219-229.) showing the tropical body plan of the ancient Egyptians also undercuts theories of inflowing European or near Eastern colonists, or the 'native Europid' model of Strouhal (1971).

"....inhabitants of East Africa right on the equator have appreciably longer, narrower, and higher noses than people in the Congo at the same latitude. A former generation of anthropologists used to explain this paradox by invoking an invasion by an itinerant "white" population from the Mediterranean area, although this solution raised more problems than it solved since the East Africans in question include some of the blackest people in the world with characteristically wooly hair and a body build unique among the world's populations for its extreme linearity and height.... The relatively long noses of East Africa become explicable then when one realizes that much of the area is extremely dry for parts of the year." (C. Loring Brace, "Nonracial Approach Towards Human Diversity," cited in The Concept of Race, Edited by Ashley Montagu, The Free Press, 1980, pp. 135-136, 138)

Afrocentric critic C. Loring Brace's 2005 study groups ancient Egyptian populations like the Naqada closer to Nubians and Somalis than European, Mediterranean or Middle Eastern populations. Brace's study shows that the closest European linking with Africans in Egypt or Nubia are Middle Stone Age Portugese and Neolithics, OLDER populations more closely resembling AFRICANS than modern Europeans. Early Neolithic populations, like the Nautifians, in what is now Israel, show sub-Saharan 'negroid' affinities. (Brace, et al. The questionable contribution of the Neolithic and the Bronze Age to European craniofacial form, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2006 January 3; 103(1): p. 242-247.)

"The Niger-Congo speakers, Congo, Dahomey and Haya, cluster closely with each other and a bit less closely with the Nubian sample, both the recent and the Bronze Age Nubians, and more remotely with the Naqada Bronze Age sample of Egypt, the modern Somalis, and the Arabic-speaking Fellaheen (farmers) of Israel. When those samples are separated and run in a single analysis as in Fig. 1, there clearly is a tie between them that is diluted the farther one gets from sub-Saharan Africa" (Brace, 2005)

Moving to the opposite geographic extremity, the very small sample populations available from northern Egypt from before the 1st Dynasty(Merimda, Maadi and Wadi Digla) turn out to be significantly different from sample populations from early Palestine and Byblos, suggesting a lack of common ancestors over a long time. If there was a south-north cline of variation along the Nile Valley it did not, from this limited evidence, continue smoothly on into Palestine. The limb-length proportions of males from the Egyptian sites group them with Africans rather than with Europeans."

LOL AT THE ABOVE, THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!LOOOOOOOOOL

THE FUN PART IN IT IS, IT CALLED SOMEONE ELSE DUMB, LET ALONE A FOOL??? LOL

NOW THE NEAR EAST, WEST ASIA, MIDDLE EAST has become the East Mediterranean/Levant? LOL

WHAT IT SAYS IS THAT EARLY CRO MAGNONS CAME FROM AFRICA. AND SPREAD INTO THE LEVANT BECAUSE THE CLIMATE WAS SUITED THERE, DURING THAT TIME. MORE TROPICAL AFFILIATED, WHEREAS EUROPE AND EURASIA WERE ARCHIC COLD. THUS IT ISEN'T POSSIBLE TO DEVELOP TROPICAL LIMBS IN SUCH EXTREME COLD REGION. THE RELATION IN TO AFRICA DOES GIVE THE FINAL KICK INTO YOUR DUMBASS!

"Both skeletal/cranial and DNA studies by other authors confirm that some Neolithics did not derive from the Near East. They most likely resembled African populations. Hence comparisons using older European Neolithics versus Africans are comparisons with older prehistoric Europeans who looked more like Africans, than modern 'white' Europeans, as shown by Brace (2005), and Hanihara (1996) also, who states "Early West Asians looked like Africans."

quote:
The ancestors of modern Europeans arrived in Europe at least 40,000 years before present. Of very tall stature, they experienced extremely cold conditions, especially during the maximum of glacial expansion around 16,000 BC. Nevertheless, they succeeded well and relatively quickly replaced the Neanderthals.

quote:

"From the Mesolithic to the early Neolithic period different lines of evidence support an out-of-Africa Mesolithic migration to the Levant by northeastern African groups that had biological affinities with sub-Saharan populations. From a genetic point of view, several recent genetic studies have shown that sub-Sabaran genetic lineages (affiliated with the Y-chromosome PN2 clade; Underhill et al. 2001) have spread through Egypt into the Near East, the Mediterranean area, and, for some lineages, as far north as Turkey (E3b-M35 Y lineage; Cinniogclu et al. 2004; Luis et al. 2004), probably during several dispersal episodes since the Mesolithic (Cinniogelu et al. 2004; King et al. 2008; Lucotte and Mercier 2003; Luis et al. 2004; Quintana-Murci et al. 1999; Semino et al. 2004; Underhill et al. 2001). This finding is in agreement with morphological data that suggest that populations with sub-Saharan morphological elements were present in northeastern Africa, from the Paleolithic to at least the early Holocene, and diffused northward to the Levant and Anatolia beginning in the Mesolithic.

Indeed, the rare and incomplete Paleolithic to early Neolithic skeletal specimens found in Egypt - such as the 33,000-year-old Nazlet Khater specimen (Pinhasi and Semai 2000), the Wadi Kubbaniya skeleton from the late Paleolithic site in the upper Nile valley (Wendorf et al. 1986), the Qarunian (Faiyum) early Neolithic crania (Henneberg et al. 1989; Midant-Reynes 2000), and the Nabta specimen from the Neolithic Nabta Playa site in the western desert of Egypt (Henneberg et al. 1980) - show, with regard to the great African biological diversity, similarities with some of the sub-Saharan middle Paleolithic and modern sub-Saharan specimens.

This affinity pattern between ancient Egyptians and sub-Saharans has also been noticed by several other investigators (Angel 1972; Berry and Berry 1967, 1972; Keita 1995) and has been recently reinforced by the study of Brace et al. (2005), which clearly shows that the cranial morphology of prehistoric and recent northeast African populations is linked to sub-Saharan populations (Niger-Congo populations). These results support the hypothesis that some of the Paleolithic-early Holocene populations from northeast Africa were probably descendents of sub-Saharan ancestral populations...... This northward migration of northeastern African populations carrying sub-Saharan biological elements is concordant with the morphological homogeneity of the Natufian populations (Bocquentin 2003), which present morphological affinity with sub-Saharan populations (Angel 1972; Brace et al. 2005).

In addition, the Neolithic revolution was assumed to arise in the late Pleistocene Natufians and subsequently spread into Anatolia and Europe (Bar-Yosef 2002), and the first Anatolian farmers, Neolithic to Bronze Age Mediterraneans and to some degree other Neolithic-Bronze Age Europeans, show morphological affinities with the Natufians (and indirectly with sub-Saharan populations; Angel 1972; Brace et al. 2005), in concordance with a process of demie diffusion accompanying the
extension of the Neolithic revolution (Cavalli-Sforza et al. 1994)."

Early Europeans, as recently as 6,000-9000 years ago, looked somewhat like Africans in terms of retained 'tropical' characteristics. Cold adaptation was to bring about several physical changes over time from the initial Out of Africa migrations to Europe. Retained traces of 'tropical' characteristics, indicate a "large African role in the origins of anatomically modern Europeans." (Holliday and Churchill 2003).

—PN2 clade (E3) bearers in the vicinity of the Sudanese-Central African Republic -Ugandan-Kenyan region give rise to E3a ~ between 21 and 18 ky ago [pending additional or new info]; E3b-M35* would have likely arose relatively earlier than E3a*[as evidenced by its near absence in some the populations that carry this], sometime prior to the Ogolian and the LGM period. At this time, it was likely the M78 derivative that came about ~ between 19 and 15 ky ago. It was also likely during this period, that some E3b-M35 variants spilled over to the "southwest Asia", which would be identified as E-M34. The E-M78* likely arose somewhere in the bidirectional-migration route between Northeast and sub-Saharan East Africa; this location was likely in the region straddling upper Egypt and Sudan of the eastern Sahara, amongst earlier E-M35 migrants from sub-Saharan East Africa. These M78 bearers were increasingly pressured to move further south due to progressive aridity, possibly as far as Uganda-Kenya and/or Tanzanian general region.

ALU INSERTION POLYMORPHISMS IN POPULATIONS
OF THE SOUTH CAUCASUS

Litvinov S* et al.

Although it was not possible to determine a contribution of Neolithic farmers to the Caucasian gene pool, the principal component analysis showed clear differences between these populations and those of Europe, Siberia and Asia. No evidence of correlation between genetic and linguistic data in
our populations was disclosed.

Armenians are a separate ethnic group,
which originated from Neolithic tribes of the Armenian Uplands. In the 12th- 11th centuries BC...

However, we cannot exclude a Neolithic contribution to the contemporary gene pool. The possible reason for the absence of the frequency distribution gradient can be genetic drift, reinforced by isolation that could conceal the influence of Neolithic farmers on the Caucasus populations [1,21].

While an Alu insertion marker does not
have enough power of resolution to assess the contribution of the influence of Neolithic farmers on the Caucasian gene pool, it clearly separates both South and North Caucasus populations (except Karanogays) from Siberian and Asian populations.

C.L. Brace (2005): "If the late Pleistocene Natufian sample from Israel is the source from which that Neolithic spread was derived, there was clearly a sub-Saharan African element present of almost equal importance as the Late Prehistoric Eurasian element."

Larry Angel (1972): "one can identify Negroid traits of nose and prognathism appearing in Natufian latest hunters.(McCown, 1939) and in Anatolian and Macedonian first farmers, probably from Nubia via the predecesors of the Badarians and Tasians...

The Emergence of the Natufian

The emergence of the Natufian is explained by Bar-Yosef (1998) as follows: “On the one hand, climatic improvements around 13,000BP provided a wealth of food resources. On the other hand, contemporaneous population growth in both the steppic and desertic regions made any abrupt, short-term climatic fluctuation a motivation for human groups to achieve control over resources” (p.167). He sees a semi-sedentary lifestyle resulting from environmental change which led to a “shift of resource scheduling” (p.167).

Fellner (1995) states that “the transition from the Geometric Kebaran to the Early Natufian culture can be described as the most important cultural change within the Epipalaeolithic of Palestine, as the lifestyle of the Natufian groups differed very substantially from that practiced by their Geometric Kebaran ancestors” (p.122) The Natufian is usually seen as a key stage in Near Eastern Prehistory as it represents many features usually associated with the Neolithic. - courtesy of neareast historians, uk; epipaleolithic background.

The Mushabian is founded in southern Jordan, the Negev, and Sinai. It is usually divided into an earlier phase (c.14,500-12,800bp) and a later phase which overlaps with the Early Natufian (12,800-11,000bp).

The Classic Mushabian is characterized by a dominance of arched-back bladelets, La Mouillah points, and scalene triangles, all of which were truncated at one end using the microburin technique. Helwan lunates are also featured.

Evidence for economic activities are few and far between – there are very few botanical or faunal remains, but some rare pounding tools suggest that plant exploitation was a feature of the economy. Bar-Yosef and Meadow (1999) hypothesize that the subsistence strategies employed in the Mushabian were much the same as those of the steppic Geometric Kebaran and Hamran groups.

The Mushabian was traditionally thought to derive from North Africa via the Nile Delta and the Sinai: “The Mushabian sites in Sinai are interpreted as the remains of mobile groups budded off from the Nile region who were attracted to the expanding, lusher steppic environment” (Bar-Yosef and Meadow 1999, p.55). This view was based on the early occurrence of the microburin technique in industries like the Sisilian. “However, the recent discovery of even earlier use of the microburin technique in the Azraq Basin fundamentally weakens the argument, and may even indicate diffusion of this technique in the other direction” (Fellner 1995, p.26). Fellner believes that the Mushabian is most likely to derive from the Nizzanian of the Negev. - courtesy of neareast historians, uk; epipaleolithic background.

2005), in concordance with a process of demie diffusion accompanying the extension of the Neolithic revolution (Cavalli-Sforza et al. 1994)."

E3b originated in East Africa and expanded into the Near East and northern Africa at the end of the Pleistocene (Underhill et al. 2001).

E3b lineages would have then been introduced from the Near East into southern Europe by farmers, during the Neolithic expansion (Hammer et al. 1998; Semino et al. 2000; Underhill et al. 2001).

Mitochondrial DNA structure in the Arabian Peninsula

Khaled K Abu-Amero1 et al.

quote:

Two potential migratory routes followed by modern humans to colonize Eurasia from Africa have been proposed. These are the two natural passageways that connect both continents: the northern route through the Sinai Peninsula and the southern route across the Bab al Mandab strait. Recent archaeological and genetic evidence have favored a unique southern coastal route. Under this scenario, the study of the population genetic structure of the Arabian Peninsula, the first step out of Africa, to search for primary genetic links between Africa and Eurasia, is crucial. The haploid and maternally inherited mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) molecule has been the most used genetic marker to identify and to relate lineages with clear geographic origins, as the African Ls and the Eurasian M and N that have a common root with the Africans L3.

Abstract

Newly discovered outcrops of the middle Pleistocene Benot Ya'aqov Formation are strongly disturbed due to recent tectonic activity along the Dead Sea Rift. The lacustrine-fluviatile sediments of this formation comprise the littoral facies of a paleo-lake that occupied the adjacent Hula Basin. Acheulian artifacts, found embedded in the formation, have typical African characteristics. The geographical position of the site (the northern extension of the East African Red Sea Rift System) is important for understanding hominid diffusion from Africa to Eurasia.

The paper mentions nothing about Africa. It has a single reference to Africans: "similar to modern African people, very long forearms and crural segments". The paper shows that tropical limb indices arrived in Europe from the East Mediterranean (West Asia/Levant).

The East Mediterranean is not Africa.

Cro-Magnons' arrived in Europe from Western Asia, not Africa. There is no Africa link at all.

Segments of Western Asia, are tropical. As already stated:

RECAP FOR THE SLOW MINDED DIMWIT, WANNABE UNIVERSITY STUDENT!!!

Here, we describe a system for the molecular dissection of haplogroup E-M78 (E1b1b1a), consisting of multiplex polymerase chain reaction and minisequencing of M78 and nine population-informative Y-SNPs (M148, M224, V12, V13, V19, V22, V27, V32, V65) in a single reaction.

 -

Larry Angel (1972): "one can identify Negroid traits of nose and prognathism appearing in Natufian latest hunters.(McCown, 1939) and in Anatolian and Macedonian first farmers, probably from Nubia via the predecesors of the Badarians and Tasians...

2005), in concordance with a process of demie diffusion accompanying the extension of the Neolithic revolution (Cavalli-Sforza et al. 1994)."

indices in limb proportions- more akin to dark-skinned tropical Africans
than today’s Europeans, who show lower cural indices.

"As with all the other limb/trunk indices, the recent Europeans evince

6– DNA provides clear evidence of tropical African types migrating to
Paleolithic era Europe, contradicting claims of “Caucasoid” evolution in
situ. Tropical limb evidence confirms DNA. The African tropical types
may have interbred with local Neanderthals, but in any event would have
adapted to the colder conditions of Europe over time.
QUOTE:

"Early modern Europeans reflect both their predominant African early
modern human ancestry and a substantial degree of admixture between
those early modern humans and the indigenous Neandertals. Given the
tens of millennia since then and the limitations inherent in ancient DNA,
this process is largely invisible in the molecular record. It is readily
apparent in the paleontological record.“

similar to the other two make skulls found at the site. Most of the genetic
evidence, as well as the newest fossil evidence from Africa argue against
continuous local evolution producing modern groups directly from any
Eurasian pre-modern population.. there's no longer much debate that a
large genetic contribution from migrating early modern Africans infuenced

Scientists reveal face of the first European
The face of the first European has been recreated from bone fragments by scientists.

By Urmee Khan, Digital and Media Correspondent

8:22PM BST 04 May 2009

The head was rebuilt in clay based on an incomplete skull and jawbone discovered in a cave in the south west of the Carpathian Mountains in Romania by potholers.
The first modern European Forensic artist Richard Neave reconstructed the face based on skull fragments from 35000 years ago.

Using radiocarbon analysis scientists say the man or woman, it is still not possible to determine the sex, lived between 34,000 and 36,000 years ago.

Europe was then occupied by both Neanderthal man, who had been in the region for thousands of years, and anatomically-modern humans – Homo sapiens.

Modern humans first arrived in Europe from Africa.

African tribe populated rest of the world
The entire human race outside Africa owes its existence to the survival of a single tribe of around 200 people who crossed the Red Sea 70,000 years ago, scientists have discovered.

By Richard Gray, Science Correspondent

9:00PM BST 09 May 2009

Research by geneticists and archaeologists has allowed them to trace the origins of modern homo sapiens back to a single group of people who managed to cross from the Horn of Africa and into Arabia. From there they went on to colonise the rest of the world.

Genetic analysis of modern day human populations in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America have revealed that they are all descended from these common ancestors.

It is thought that changes in the climate between 90,000 and 70,000 years ago caused sea levels to drop dramatically and allowed the crossing of the Red Sea to take place.

The findings are to be revealed in a new BBC Two documentary series, The Incredible Human Journey, that traces the prehistoric origins of the human species.

Dr Peter Forster, a senior lecturer in archaeogenetics at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge who carried out some of the genetic work, said: "The founder populations cannot have been very big. We are talking about just a few hundred individuals."
Homo sapiens, known casually as "modern humans", are thought to have first evolved around 195,000 years ago in east Africa – the earliest remains from that time were uncovered near the Omo River in Ethiopia.

Parents of "Eurasian Adam" and "Eurasian Eve" came from
Africa modern DNA analysis shows

"The vast majority, perhaps all, men with European and Asian genetic
backgrounds can trace their Y-chromosome lineage back to a particular
male (named M168, after the marker that defines these chromosomes). M168
thus can be considered the Eurasian Adam. Although the Y-chromosome Adam
and mitrochondrial Eve did not meet, it is quite possible that the Eurasian "Adam"
M168 could have met his equivalent, the Eurasian Eve (known as L3). The
estimates of their dates overlap (around five thousand years ago) and they both
probably lived in northeast Africa. Africa? Yes, Africa. Although nearly all Eurasian
mtDNA and Y chromosomes currently existing can be traced back to L3 and M168
respectively, M168 and L3 also had African descendants."

Advanced cognitive, technological and behavioral patterns derive from
Africa. Dubbed the "Human Revolution" by some researchers, they lead up to the
expansion of humans from Africa to other parts of the world, circa 60-40kya. Other
scholars argue for a more gradual continuum of advances deeply rooted in
Africa that spread worldwide. In either scenario, whether relatively rapid advance
or gradual accumulation, the cognitive, technological and behavioral advances
took place within Africa.

QUOTE:
"Recent research has provided increasing support for the origins of anatomically
and genetically "modern" human populations in Africa between 150,000 and 200,000
years ago, followed by a major dispersal of these populations to both Asia and Europe
sometime after ca. 65,000 before present (B.P.). However, the central question of why it
took these populations {approx}100,000 years to disperse from Africa to other regions of
the world has never been clearly resolved. It is suggested here that the answer may lie
partly in the results of recent DNA studies of present-day African populations, combined
with a spate of new archaeological discoveries in Africa. Studies of both the mitochondrial
DNA (mtDNA) mismatch patterns in modern African populations and related mtDNA
lineage-analysis patterns point to a major demographic expansion centered broadly within
the time range from 80,000 to 60,000 B.P., probably deriving from a small geographical
region of Africa.

Recent archaeological discoveries in southern and eastern Africa suggest that, at approximately
the same time, there was a major increase in the complexity of the technological, economic, social,
and cognitive behavior of certain African groups,
which could have led to a major demographic
expansion of these groups in competition with other, adjacent groups. It is suggested that this
complex of behavioral changes (possibly triggered by the rapid environmental changes around
the transition from oxygen isotope stage 5 to stage 4) could have led not only to the expansion of
the L2 and L3 mitochondrial lineages over the whole of Africa but also to the ensuing dispersal of
these modern populations over most regions of Asia, Australasia, and Europe, and their replacement
(with or without interbreeding) of the preceding "archaic" populations in these regions."

---Mellars, Paul (2006) Why did modern human populations disperse from Africa ca. 60,000 years ago?
A new model. PNAS, 2006, 103(25), pp. 9381-9386

Advanced cognitive, artistic and behavioral patterns and technology like more refined tools
are found in Africa long before similar patterns arose in Europe. The migration of tropical
African types to Europe in the Cro-Magnon era brought these cognitive, cultural and behavioral
advances to Neanderthal Europe.

"A more gradual "revolution" position is now held [by Paul Mellars].. a period of
accelerated change in Africa between about 60,000 and 80,000 years ago, as shown
by the following developments recorded in South African cave sites: new and better-
techniques for producing long thin flakes of stone blades; specialized tools called end
scrapers and burins, which were probably used for working skins and bones, the
[production of tiny stone segments that must have mounted on handles of wood or
bone to make composite tools, complexly shaped stone tools such as 'leaf points',
relatively complex bone tools; marine shells perforated to make necklaces or bracelets,
red ochre (natural iron oxide) engraved with geometric designs suggesting early artwork,;
greater permanence and differentiated occupation areas in caves; new subsistence practices
such as the exploitation of marine fish as well as shellfish; and perhaps intentional burning
of undergrowth to encourage the growth of underground plant resources such as tubers.
Mellars suggests that a neurological switch to modernity in the brain alongside rapid
Climatic fluctuations, could have been the driving forces behind this period of heightened
cultural innovations.."

"The most impressive site for early evidence of symbolism however, is Blombos Cave in South
Africa, with a record stretching well beyond 70,000 years ago.. The stone tools in these levels
include Still Bay points, beautifully shaped thin lanceolate spear points, flaked on both sides.
They also show the earliest application of a refined stone tool-making technique known as
pressure flaking, some 55,000 years before its best-known manifestation in the Soultrean
industry of EUrope. Slabs of red ochre were excavated from various levels, including the
deepest ones, with wavy, fan or mesh-shaped patterns carefully engraved on them..
Hundreds [beads made from seashells] have now been excavated from Blombos,
and most show signs of piercing, with many holes also displaying signs of wear.. The
shells have a natural shiny luster, but the color seems to have been modified by rubbing
with hematite in some cases and by heating to darken the shells in other cases, so they
may have been strung in different-colored patterns.. "

Some archaeologists criticize notions of a "human revolution" suddenly
occurring after humans exited Africa for Asia and Europe. Instead they
argue, the supposed "revolutionary" changes in cognition, symbol
manipulation, advanced technology, trade etc were ALREADY occurring
WITHIN Africa, long before any migration out. There is no need for a
'eureka moment' of 'progress' upon leaving Africa. 'Progress' was already
well underway and long in place within Africa, without the need for
'eureka' moments.
QUOTE:

"This is because by focusing on changes that occurred at the Middle
Paleolithic/Upper Paleolithic or Middle Stone Age/Later Stone Age
transitions (in Europe and Africa, respectively), there is a failure to
appreciate the depth and breadth of the African Middle Stone Age record
that preceded the time of the supposed revolution by at least 100,000
years. In their view, [McBrearty and Brooks 2000] 'modern' features such
as advanced technologies, increased geographic range, specialized hunting,
fishing and shell-fishing, long distance trade, and the symbolic use of
pigments had already developed in a broad range of Middle Stone Age
industries right across Africa, between 100,000 and 250,000 years ago.
This suggested to them that an early assembly of the package of modern
human behaviors occurred in Africa, followed by much later export to the
rest of the world. Thus the origin of our species, both behaviorally and
morphologically, was linked to early developments in Middle Stone Age
technology, and not to changes that occurred much later.. 'this quest for
this 'eureka moment' reveals a great deal about the needs, desired and
aspirations of archaeologists, but obscures rather than illuminates events in
the past.."

The bogus "generalized Caucasoids" model. This involves defining
away Africoid affinities or features as "generalized" but at the
same time ot treating "European" features the same way. The double
standard only runs one way- if a feature has African affinities-
airbrush it away as "generalized" but otherwise call it "Caucasoid"
or equivalent. This double-standard howevert is contradicted by Africa's
diversity, and clear tropical body/limb proportion affinities of its migrating
peoples

For example, Jantz and Ousley 2003 assert that:
"Upper Paleolithic crania are, for the most part, larger
and more generalized versions of recent Europeans."
(AJPA 121(2))

But their wording gives the game away. They achieve a "match" with
"recent Europeans" because features deemed to have African affinities
are defined away as "generalized." The African irritant thus eliminated,
they can then go on to cluster all else with Europe. Two central
points undermine this method:

-----------CRANIA
Africa has the most diversity in crania in the world. It has almost any skull
variation on earth. This diversity DECREASES the farther one goes from Africa.
As one of the world's foremost palentologists Chris Stringer notes:

[i]"Africa today has the greatest internal genetic variation of any inhabited
continent and its skull shapes show the highest variation. This is usually
attributed to its greater size, larger ancient populations and deepest
timelines for humanity."

----Chris Stringer (2012) Lone Survivors: How we came to be the only
human on earth p260

-----------TROPICAL LIMB/BODY ADAPTATIONS
"Erik Trinkhaus noted that the Cro-Magnons who livd in much the same
environments as Neanderthals were more like recent African populations in
body shape than Neanderthals. And the same thing now seems to apply to the
earliest modern skeleton we have from the north of Ice Age China."
----Chris Stringer (2012) Lone Survivors: How we came to be the only
human on earth p105

Qafzeh/Skhul remains cluster more with tropical Africans and show
similarities to Cro-Magnons. They are not identical, nor are they direct
parents, but they show certain affinities- Cro-Magnons themselves also showing tropical affinities.

i]"The Qafzeh/Skhul sample is fundamentally modern,
and in fact very similar to Cro-Magons.."

--Geoffrey A. Clark, Catherine M. Willermet. 1997.
Conceptual Issues in Modern Human Origins Research. p111

"Results indicate that the Qafzeh-Skhul hominids
have African-like, or tropically adapted,
proportions, while those from Amud, Kebara,
Tabun, and Shanidar (Iraq) have more
European-like, or cold-adapted, proportions. This
suggests that there were in fact two distinct
Western Asian populations and that the
Qafzeh-Skhul hominids were likely African in
origin - a result consistent with the
"Replacement" model of modern human origins.

.. Thus, the discovery of tropically adapted
hominids in the region would therefore
likely indicate population dispersal from
the TROPICS, and the most logical
geographic source for such an influx is
Africa. In this regard, Trinkaus (1981,
1984, 1995) and Ruff (1994) have
argued that the high brachial and crural
indices, narrow biiliac breadths, and
small relative femoral head sizes of the
Qafzeh-Skhul hominids suggest an
influx of African genes associated with
the emergence of modern humans in the
region."

---Trenton Holliday (2000) Evolution at the
Crossroads: Modern Human Emergence in Western
Asia. American Anthropologist. New Series,
Vol. 102, No. 1, 54-68

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In summary, Cro-Magnons were tropically adapted migrants to
Europe that resembled tropical Africans. They were never IDENTICAL
to tropical Africans for they adapted over time to colder European
environments. However several specimens still show evidence of
African links. Africa in addition has the highest phenotypic diversity
in the world. For example, skull shapes on African fossils for example
are the most diverse. They cover most known variants in skull shape
on earth- thru the ages. Everything else is a more limited subset of this diversity.

Its worth repeating:

"Africa today has the greatest internal genetic variation of any inhabited
continent and its skull shapes show the highest variation. This is usually
attributed to its greater size, larger ancient populations and deepest
timelines for humanity."

----Chris Stringer (2012) Lone Survivors: How we came to be the only
human on earth p260

When in comes to Cro-Magnons's Eurocentric writers
play a hypocritical double game, defining away African features as
"generalized" but not doing the same when it comes to their favorite
"European" fossils. Thus a dark-skinned, broad nosed, prognathous
fossil with tropical limb proportions becomes "generalized[/img] features"
but a narrow nose (common in Africa by the way) conveniently becomes
"European". Can we all say hypocrisy?

Blombos- Africa: oldest pigment production operation on earth. Advanced
cognitive, behavioral, technological and social features were already
in place and ongoing before any migration out of Africa.

 -

Assorted Multi-regionalists like Michael Wolpoff deny such diversity, but that
denial is hollow in the face of substantial evidence of the Out OF Africa model.
Four prominent multi-regionalists along with Wolpoff claimed in 1994 for example- QUOTE:

"The evolutionary patterns of three different
regions show that the earliest "modern" humans
are not Africans and do not have the complex of
features that characterize the Africans of that
time or any other... There is no evidence of
specific admixture with Africans at any time, let
alone replacement by them.. "

END WOLPOFF et all quote.

But, Wolpoff et al are comprehensively refuted by fossil
and DNA evidence of the Out OF Africa model:
Respected paleontologist Chris Stringer notes: (continued)

"This model gave Africa no special place in our
evolution and claimed specific connections in
individual features between Homo erectus fossils
more than a million years old in each region and
humans in the same regions today.. these particular
views have been pretty comprehensively shown to be false."

^ Neanderthals NOT found in Africa either.

Neither Neanderthals or Cro-Magnons were Africans, they are Eurasians and ancestral to modern Caucasoids.

Scientists reveal face of the first European
The face of the first European has been recreated from bone fragments by scientists.

"A more gradual "revolution" position is now held [by Paul Mellars].. a period of
accelerated change in Africa between about 60,000 and 80,000 years ago, as shown
by the following developments recorded in South African cave sites: new and better-
techniques for producing long thin flakes of stone blades; specialized tools called end
scrapers and burins, which were probably used for working skins and bones, the
[production of tiny stone segments that must have mounted on handles of wood or
bone to make composite tools, complexly shaped stone tools such as 'leaf points',
relatively complex bone tools; marine shells perforated to make necklaces or bracelets,
red ochre (natural iron oxide) engraved with geometric designs suggesting early artwork,;
greater permanence and differentiated occupation areas in caves; new subsistence practices
such as the exploitation of marine fish as well as shellfish; and perhaps intentional burning
of undergrowth to encourage the growth of underground plant resources such as tubers.

"This model gave Africa no special place in our
evolution and claimed specific connections in
individual features between Homo erectus fossils
more than a million years old in each region and
humans in the same regions today.. these particular
views have been pretty comprehensively shown to be false."

human on earth p267human on earth p267

"A more gradual "revolution" position is now held [by Paul Mellars].. a period of
accelerated change in Africa between about 60,000 and 80,000 years ago, as shown
by the following developments recorded in South African cave sites: new and better-
techniques for producing long thin flakes of stone blades; specialized tools called end
scrapers and burins, which were probably used for working skins and bones, the
[production of tiny stone segments that must have mounted on handles of wood or
bone to make composite tools, complexly shaped stone tools such as 'leaf points',
relatively complex bone tools; marine shells perforated to make necklaces or bracelets,
red ochre (natural iron oxide) engraved with geometric designs suggesting early artwork,;
greater permanence and differentiated occupation areas in caves; new subsistence practices
such as the exploitation of marine fish as well as shellfish; and perhaps intentional burning
of undergrowth to encourage the growth of underground plant resources such as tubers.

Body proportions in Late Pleistocene Europe and modern human origins.

Holliday TW.

quote:
Abstract

Body proportions covary with climate, apparently as the result of climatic selection. Ontogenic research and migrant studies have demonstrated that body proportions are largely genetically controlled and are under low selective rates; thus studies of body form can provide evidence for evolutionarily short-term dispersals and/or gene flow. Following these observations, competing models of modern human origins yield different predictions concerning body proportion shifts in Late Pleistocene Europe. Replacement predicts that the earliest modern Europeans will possess "tropical" body proportions (assuming Africa is the center of origin), while Regional Continuity permits only minor shifts in body shape, due to climatic change and/or improved cultural buffering. This study tests these predictions via analyses of osteometric data reflective of trunk height and breadth, limb proportions and relative body mass for samples of Early Upper Paleolithic (EUP), Late Upper Paleolithic (LUP) and Mesolithic (MES) humans and 13 recent African and European populations. Results reveal a clear tendency for the EUP sample to cluster with recent Africans, while LUP and MES samples cluster with recent Europeans. These results refute the hypothesis of local continuity in Europe, and are consistent with an interpretation of elevated gene flow (and population dispersal?) from Africa, followed by subsequent climatic adaptation to colder conditions. These data do not, however, preclude the possibility of some (albeit small) contribution of genes from Neandertals to succeeding populations, as is postulated in Bräuer's "Afro-European Sapiens" model.

Am J Phys Anthropol. 2008;Suppl 47:70-99.
Hunters of the Ice Age: The biology of Upper Paleolithic people.
Holt BM, Formicola V.

quote:
Abstract

The Upper Paleolithic represents both the phase during which anatomically modern humans appeared and the climax of hunter-gatherer cultures. Demographic expansion into new areas that took place during this period and the diffusion of burial practices resulted in an unprecedented number of well-preserved human remains. This skeletal record, dovetailed with archeological, environmental, and chronological contexts, allows testing of hypotheses regarding biological processes at the population level. In this article, we review key studies about the biology of Upper Paleolithic populations based primarily on European samples, but integrating information from other areas of the Old World whenever possible. Data about cranial morphology, skeletal robusticity, stature, body proportions, health status, diet, physical activity, and genetics are evaluated in Late Pleistocene climatic and cultural contexts. Various lines of evidence delineate the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) as a critical phase in the biological and cultural evolution of Upper Paleolithic populations. The LGM, a long phase of climatic deterioration culminating around 20,000 BP, had a profound impact on the environment, lifestyle, and behavior of human groups. Some of these effects are recorded in aspects of skeletal biology of these populations. Groups living before and after the LGM, Early Upper Paleolithic (EUP) and Late Upper Paleolithic (LUP), respectively, differ significantly in craniofacial dimensions, stature, robusticity, and body proportions. While paleopathological and stable isotope data suggest good health status throughout the Upper Paleolithic, some stress indicators point to a slight decline in quality of life in LUP populations. The intriguing and unexpected incidence of individuals affected by congenital disorders probably indicates selective burial practices for these abnormal individuals. While some of the changes observed can be explained through models of biocultural or environmental adaptation (e.g., decreased lower limb robusticity following decreased mobility; changes in body proportions along with climatic change), others are more difficult to explain. For instance, craniodental and upper limb robusticity show complex evolutionary patterns that do not always correspond to expectations. In addition, the marked decline in stature and the mosaic nature of change in body proportions still await clarifications. These issues, as well as systematic analysis of specific pathologies and possible relationships between genetic lineages, population movements and cultural complexes, should be among the goals of future research

@ THE LIAR/BSer

AS I SAID, WHEN I POST GET OUT A NOTEPAD. .CLASS DISMISSED . . . . .

BOTTOM LINE : LOOKS LIKE TWO ETHNIC GROUPS ARE LAYING CLAIM TO JAPAN AND BEING THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE. JOMON ARE TROPICALLY ADAPTED. BTW – I AM NOT PAID TO DO THIS SHYTE. THIS IS A HOBBY. I AM COMING AROUND TO DR. WINTERS. SEEMS LIKE SOME OF HIS IDEAS ARE NOT FARFETCHED BUT IS A MATTER OF US BEING DE-PROGRAMMED. LOOKS LIKE THE JAMON/AINU ARE TROPICAL “NEGROID” LOOKING PEOPLE.
.

Quote:
But Dr. Brace said the analysis of ancient and modern Ainu skeletons did not support such a relationship. The study did show that their presumed ancestors, the Jomon, however, shared some intriguing physicial similarities, perhaps because of common origins, to the people of Polynesia and Micronesia.

Variation in Limb Proportions Between Jomon Foragers
and Yayoi Agriculturalists from Prehistoric Japan

ABSTRACT Variation in limb proportions between
prehistoric Jomon and Yayoi people of Japan are explored
by this study. Jomon people were the descendents of Pleistocene
nomads who migrated to the Japanese Islands
around 30,000 yBP. Phenotypic and genotypic evidence
indicates that Yayoi people were recent migrants to Japan
from continental Northeast Asia who likely interbred with
Jomon foragers. Limb proportions of Jomon and Yayoi people
were compared using RMA regression and ‘‘Quick-Test’’
calculations to investigate relative variability between
these two groups. Cluster and principal components analyses
were performed on size-standardized limb lengths and
used to compare Jomon and Yayoi people with other
groups from various climatic zones. Elongated distal relative
to proximal limb lengths were observed among
Jomon compared to Yayoi people. Jomon limb proportions
were similar to human groups from temperate/tropical climates
at lower latitudes, while Yayoi limb proportions
more closely resemble groups from colder climates at
higher latitudes
. Limb proportional similarities with
groups from warmer environments among Jomon foragers
likely reflect morphological changes following Pleistocene
colonization of the Japanese Islands. Cold-derived limb
proportions among the Yayoi people likely indicate retention
of these traits following comparatively recent migrations
to the Japanese Islands. Changes in limb proportions
experienced by Jomon foragers and retention
of cold-derived limb proportions among Yayoi people
conform to previous findings that report changes in
these proportions following long-standing evolution in a
specific environment. Am J Phys Anthropol 137:164–174,
2008.

You do realize I ignore the idiots when they post.. . . most times.

I am not sure who are the Ainu and what they look like. . .today. But the fact is, if the people labeled “Jomon” are a tropical negroid, dark skinned people. (note – I did not say African), then the Ainu mostly likely are also similar – simple logic.

Hey! The people from Alexandria believe they are the original Egyptians. That is what lack of melanin does. Make one delusional. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Remember C-Ass/PI believes the AEians were Caucasians who migrated from the Caucus mountains of Europe, formed and developed a civilization for 4000 years in Africa before returning to Europe. Ha! Ha! Ha! Despite all the archeological, cultural and genetic evidence these people came from inner Africa.
And his premise is base on what the AEians LOOKED like. Talk about dumb!!! He should be spayed –
Stupidity like that should not be allowed to breed.

Quote from the study

Jomon limb proportions
Relatively increased distal limb length among Jomon
compared to Yayoi people is observed. Jomon foragers
have similar limb proportions to groups from temperate
and/or tropical environments from lower latitudes. This
pattern of variation could be the outcome of two possible
evolutionary scenarios. First, the Paleolithic ancestors of
Jomon people may have arrived in Japan from a temperate/
tropical environment and retained limb proportions associated with such climates. In contrast, the second
scenario proposes that limb proportions of the earliest
Paleolithic foragers from Japan were initially similar to
high latitude groups from colder environments, but
changed after experiencing the warmer environment of
Japan over considerable amounts of time.

Yayoi limb proportions

Yayoi people are characterized by short distal relative
to proximal limb segments and cluster with groups from
colder environments at higher latitudes, most notably,
modern Japanese (see Fig. 6). This result is not surprising
given the consistency of findings that indicate Yayoi
people were the descendents of Northeast Asian
migrants to the Japanese Islands and, to a lesser extent,
Jomon foragers (Brace and Nagai, 1982; Mizoguchi

Global variation in human tooth size and shape supports the clustering of Jomon foragers with indigenous
groups from Australia, Melanesia, and Southeast
Asia (Hanihara and Ishida, 2005; Matsumura and
Hudson, 2006). More specifically, however, Jomon people
possess a battery of dental traits associated with sundadonty
(Turner, 1992). These dental traits date to the
Late Pleistocene and were characteristic of people who
initially colonized Sundaland (Turner, 1990). Inhabitants
of Sundaland are hypothesized to have migrated to Japan,
Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia via this now
submerged land bridge around 30,000 yBP (Turner,
1990; Turner et al., 2000).
If Jomon people were descendents of the prehistoric
inhabitants of Sundaland, then it is likely that the
ancestors of the Jomon arrived in Japan with temperate/
tropical limb proportions.

Do you think people cant see that you are posting studies that were done PRIOR to the Neanderthal genome project May 6, 2010?

Why do you continue to use C.L Brace as a source monkey? He has been debunked left and right BEFORE the Neanderthal genome project May 6, 2010 and right now is viewed as a clown, where it appears the only thing he ever was correct about is that Cro Magnon was African! We do not want to hear fallaceous studies by the DEBUNKED C.L brace, Charles Murray or Rushton. We want to see you talk about studies conducted AFTER May 6, 2010 LOL Can you provide us with studies after May 6, 2010 when the Neanderthal genome project was published? LOL This is actually fairly pathetic!!!! and demonstrates why not only are you a congenital liar, but why you are clearly a low IQ low self esteem monkey that is ashamed of ya daddy!

Posting studies before May 6th 2010 is tatamount to your low IQ ancestors potificating about the world being flat! YOU ARE PATHETIC! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! DO YOU HONERSTLY BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE FOOLING ANY COMPETANT PERSON YOU FILTHY PIECE OF SHIIT SNAKEOIL SALESMAN MONKEY?
LOL look at this 48 chromosome ape that is higher on the evolutionary scale than Neanderthal! Look at this ape making stone tools yall! THE CRACKER IS ASHAMED OF ITS DADDY! lol

This ape is making stone flake tools and unlike Neanderthal homo sapiens are not taking credit for the ingenuity! You are looking at neanderthals master yall! No wondetr we exterminated that Neanderthal dimwit, while Chimps and bonobos still survive! LOL THE WHITE MANS DADDY IS LOWER ON THE EVOLUTONATRY SCALE THAN THIS BONOBO AND CHIMP!

Folks, allow me to show scaale than either Homo Erectus, Neanderthal of Denisova. Allow me to show you the animal that is closer to Homo sapien than Neanderthal!

We all get that the cracker is the offspring of Neanderthal right? and therefore Neanderthal is THE CRACKERS direct ancestor! Neanderthal was the filthy, stringy haired pink assed cracksrs daddy! hahahaha!

Science tells us that Neanderthal is more distant from UNMIXED Homo sapiens or in other words TRUE hompo sapisns, that a Gorilla or a damn chimp! LOL

You must wonder why I play this cro magnon game with you dont you chimpboy! You are either wondering why I agree with the cracker, that it was an African, or you are sitting back smugly thinking that you have pulled off a great con

The fact of the matter is its all coming out monkey! either Cro magnon possessed ZERO% Neanderthal DNA like grimaldi man who preceeds cro magnon by 20,000 years. OR Cro magnon posssess Neanderthal DNA making it an early version of Neanderthal Hybrids. Oh gee so much could be learned from that! Its all coming out soon monkey!

Why do you guys even bother with this Anglo-Buffoon??? The idiot was debunked on the first page and he keeps spouting nonsense for you to debunk some more even though such nonsense was refuted days, weeks, and months ago..

I ask, what the hell is the point?? [Roll Eyes]

Some people can't accept reality. You guys arguing with the fool is no different from arguing with any other lunatic that belongs in a mental hospital. What's the point?

I say move on with the actual topic of the thread!
