A conversation I had with little kid of my relatives:

My mother said she bought me from the store but my friend Hasan said babies come from mother body

Me: Hasan is right

from mother where?

Me: from an open between her legs

the open we poo from?

Me: No, another one for babies

Can I see it?

Me: I don't have one to show you

Can I ask my Mom to show it to me?

Me: No

Why

Me: she wont like it

Why? I want to see where I came from, are you lieing to me?

Me: No, I told you the truth

Then why can't I see it if it's true?

Me: ask your mom

I will

Me: ok

And when I thought I'm done and like Phewwwwwwwwwwww

But how did I get into there?

Me: Your father put a seed there through that open and you grew up there

a seed? where did he get it from?

Me: from the little thing he pees from

How?

Me: when boys grow up they can have that seed from there

and he took the seed and put it into the open

Me: Yes

Is it big ?

Me: no very small but he puts so many of them and only one works

He can catch them with his hand if they very small?

Me: No he doesn't put them with his hand

How then?

Me: hey did you finish your homework?

Yes, How then?

Me: Next time because I'm late
---------

I thought we should not lie to little kids but really next time I'm going to tell him Angel Azrael comes at night to hunt little kids who ask those questions or maybe I will suggest him to ask Hasan.

What kills your day makes it for another.

I just thought once I tell him where he came from he will feel disguested by the idea and drop the whole subject, I w'd have done that if I was in his shoes, but, the more filthy it got the more he got excited and the more I was turned off.

I'm sure he's eagerly waiting for the coming meeting, and I'm too scared thinking of what might happen next...

And I'm sure the bastard will run to his parents and say: "Uncle Latheeth was talking to me about the "open" between mama's legs"

[Big Grin]

I really feel sorry for the kids growing up with all those taboos. And before the dogs are let out, I only meant that it is OKAY to teach our kids about the human body, while still keeping the conservative nature of our culture.

How can you be conservative while explaining sex ? I really don't want to contribute in the making of horny little kids, but how ? [Big Grin]

If the tone of voice doesn't get accompanied with epileptic fits and winks and nodges.

Taking the subject very seriously is a good start.

But then again.. I totally understand how children are with secrets.

Once we were visiting my father's boss when I was 4 years old, and the old man asked me what I did that day, and I said: "I saw mama's and papa's wee-wees"

[Roll Eyes]

(MOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! GOOGLE AD BAR SAYS: STOP LYING, LIE DETECTOR TEST!! [Big Grin] )

I don't know if the other observed that now a days the children are more curios then old generation and it seems to me that more advanced then us for their age. Frankly a child can give you hard time with his or her questions!
LaZeeZ, you have right...isn't well to lie the children...but we have to find the right words and the right way for to explain or answer of their questions.

A couple of years ago, when my son was in his final year of primary school (aged 11), he asked me what a 'blow job was'. I wasn't ready for that! I said I'd tell him if the told me where he had heard that expression.

Unfortunately in the school playground one kid had his mobile phone and was downloading pornography. I went to the school to complain.

I did explain to Sam what a BJ is, and in quite a technical and conservative, this is possible - I have no qualms in using such terms, I used to work in a HIV centre. We can inform our kids about the body's functions and sexual activity can be natural - its what some people do with it thats not natural. Yes, there is a fine line between whats acceptable and not acceptable. What 2 consenting adults may choose to do may well not be my cup of tea etc. But, unfortunately, in todays society when kids are saturated with unsuitable audio and visual material, its up to the parents to teach their kids before they get too influenced by their peers.

After explaining to Sam what a BJ was, he appeared disgusted and asked "do people really do that?" I said, "Some, but not everyone" I could see he was thinking, and I thought, oh no, he's going to ask me if I do it!! I ended the conversation with some advice "dont do it unless you are over 18, never be forced into it and as part of a loving relationship".

Here's hoping he will follow my advice.

we talk a lot about all kinds of things, and we have a very close relationship, but those hormones have yet to kick in.

Yes but talking about it isn't like going through it.

In the past people brought kids to make them happy now kids are brought to tortue their parents with those questions.

DawnBev, BJ???I doubt my relative experince will go that far but what worries me are not really the questions but the "I want to see this or that" requests. When he says I want to see where I came from and how it looks like there, I'm like "Yes Why shouldn't you know where you came from but if only you know the whole truth you w'd be slapping your face for asking this dumb question"

My sons are 8.5 and 10. I have explained to them wear babies come from and how they are made. I use proper words such as..vagina and penis. I explained in a conservative way and told them that sex is for grown ups in commited marital relationships. My sons were disgusted when they found out that babies don't come out of a woman's stomach but instead out of their vagina. They said, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!! Then they asked how that happens. I explained. I'd rather I tell them then them hearing it from kids at school. I wish my mother had told me.

I don't have kids, but for what it's worth, I think you handled it pretty well. It's hard getting caught off guard like that.

As far as the kid asking to *see* things....maybe just say that people are private with their own bodies, but here's a book that shows you what's going on. ??

Not that you're carrying a sex ed book around with you or anything. [Big Grin]

BATMAN, Forget the parents, you've probably meet boys and girls who commonly say those words but will be shocked to hear them in arabic.

Once I had fight with a boy who said to me "Kiss my ass" I said back "Teezak 7amra" and everyone looked at me like weird.

Do the arabic words sound to them more vulgar? or it's just the classy crap system we have?

Oh God..NO! They were horrified when they knew they were born out of a vagina. My sons know the slang words for body parts in English and Arabic too..hehehe. They think the word "penis" is hilarious [Big Grin] I only told them because they came home saying stuff they heard from kids at school so I figured it was time.

[Big Grin]

they should not knew sex in this age. they should only know the differnce of male and female body anatomically only.

Do the arabic words sound to them more vulgar? or it's just the classy crap system we have?

أنتا غلطان كان المفروض تقوله كس أمك مش طيزك حمرا
Now this is another thing I don't get, what so insulting about telling someone koss ommak " your mother's pussy"

Hi Lazeez,

I think it has to do with not completely understanding how vulgar the words are. If you grow up with a language and you face the reactions of parents, relatives and school teachers to your words you soon learn how unacceptable it is to use them. If the word is in a second language then it will most probably sound tame to you (or funny) .. parents and friends may not scold you for using them because they don't sound bad to their ears. I know when I learnt the arabic swear words I found them funny until people around me "explained" how bad they were.

I have a friend who lets her half Egyptian 6 year old son say arabic obsenities like the vulgar one for the womans nether region (begins with a k I think..).... when I hear it I cringe! If he said it in English I'm sure she would slap him!

Batman, teezak 7amra is a complete sentence, your butt is red and I thought it meant you're a monkey.

but anyway swearing doesn't have to be meaningful as long as it functions well in humilating others.

Look what I found :
http://www.insultmonger.com/swearing/egyptian.htm

some of them I never heard b4 but sounds funny

And here is about koss:

I didn't use Arabic words. My sons learned them from their cousins. My kids are half Yemeni. They speak fluent Arabic.

My son knows a 'blowjob' in three languages already, but I told him that it is a vulgar way to express yourself. And suggesting someone is payed to do it, so it is certainly not something you do in a good relationship with another adult. Anything is permitted when conscented between an adult couple. Until then your sexual life is with yourself in private. Some people will experiment at a younger age but it is much nicer to do it with someone you trust and you are building something more than just a sexual realtionship, with someone you bond with emotionally and personally also. Sex is not some 'toy' you pick up and put away again if you don't like it anymore. The usual stuff really.
