Well it's just gone 1p.m, I'm still in my pjs and short dressing gown. I have had the sofa repair man here for over 3 and a half hours (Rocking Roy! who is all of 5ft I am sure!) repairing a defect on my 2 seater leather sofa, he completely took it apart bless him.
I am supposed to be working from home but have not done a stroke yet, I am sure Snowhite will have something to say on this matter at a later date (when she returns from work! lol)
Anyhow, I have to go out around 6p.m. to complete (I bloody hope so!) a fostering assessment!
So what's everyone else up to today?

Cleaning like a madwoman...inlaws are arriving tomorrow. I am really excited to see them
Calling round all the satellite installation companies to see who can give me hotbird and arabsat and whatever other channels I can get. Sam is having Zamalek withdrawal and his parents will need Egyptian TV so we need to get another dish ASAP.
Looking into getting a "bumwasher" installed. You know what I mean.
Cooking a leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary as well as making tomaot soup with juicy vine tomatoes that were grown by my stepdad. (he has a huge allotment so have been making soups with all the seasonal veggies for the last few weeks, am now sick of the site of leeks and tomatoes!)
bathing and feeding my daughter and hoping she will go to bed for 7pm according to our routine so I can have a well deserved glass of red

Ferret I watched the Essex programme too, the scariest bit was in the nightclub, it was like the twilight zone or some kind of cloning experiment, they all looked the same with cuprinol spray tans, false hair, nails, breasts etc You can see where Jordan gets her fans from! DG have a lovely time when your inlaws arrive, they must be so excited to see their grandaughter

Basically doing nothing, but will go out in a little while. Have some cool plans for the weekend though. Friday night will take my wife to the theater to watch Medea, an ancient Greek Tragedy. Saturday is still tentative but we might head out to Crab Island. It's two trains and a ferry away, really appreciate cheap and convenient public transport, although I foresee a new ride on the horizon.

My friend was round last night got to discussing who should star in the Chilean miners' film. We decided because it will ofcourse be made in Hollywood, Bruce Willis will be the leader of the miners with the mandatory white vest which gets ever more dirty as the film goes on, Meryl Streep will be one of the angst driven wives, Penelope Cruz will be the 'totty' for the men viewers and Antonio Banderas probably her husband What do you reckon?

Blasting Offspring in the bedroom. Getting ready to shave, shower and dress and then head to the actor's studio to watch Medea. It's early but hey, like taking my time when the music is on, and it's not everyday that one can get dressed up in a tropical country. Which is cool but it's also nice to put on formal wear once in a while.
Enjoy your weekend.

Ecellent cast... I will put this question forward to the panel tonight to see their POV too The film will suck though I can assure you as despite however precision like the rescue went it was fecking boring to watch! The content of the film will need to be jazzed up... perhaps jealous fist fights underground and a few affairs above ground!!!
Congrats Ayisha... lovely news. x

Ofcourse the film will be bad. It'll involve at least one miner dying, one losing a leg while down there (probably it will be removed with a hacksaw) one wife having her baby in the camp another one having an affair with her hubby's best friend while in the camp (he was supposed to be down the mine but was delayed because of a meteor ) The cable on the pod will snap and that should fill up the rest of the film as they try to repair it and finally save the rest. Oh and there will be lots of shouting Have I missed anything?

Had a lovely evening, but tomorrow's plans are out the window. I awoke late today, which means that I am nowhere near going to bed, on top of that ALCS (that's baseball semi-finals) will start 8PM EST which means 8am my time. It's 1:40am now, which means I'll stay up and watch the game and probably fall asleep tomorrow at 11am tomorrow and wake up maybe around 6-7pm. Long story short there is no way in hell we are going to Crab Island or even plan B Shah Alam.
My wife was just telling me that she should always come first, before anything and before any stupid game.
I'm so cleverly wicked, I changed the topic to motorcycle clubs. I asked her what she would do if I joined one. She asked what do they do, I told her some are family orientated, some are church orientated, some are military veterans, and some clubs have members from a specific occupations, such as cops, firemen, etc. Some are also outlaws not that such a club would interest me.
Anyway, I don't want to join a motorcycle club, but I am intrigued and found out there are several clubs near me. Again I've always been fascinated with motorcycle clubs, but I need to do more research, such as will I need a real deal motorcycle(chopper), and those can be pricey, for mere fascination, might not be worth it. Or can I just ride with them with a Honda or whatever.
To join a Mortorcycle club is actually not easy, first you have to hang around their club for about 6 months to 1 year and if they like you they will make you a prospect and that takes an additional 6 months to 1 year. After which they either vote you in or tell you to get lost.
Again I don't want to join a motorcycle club but won't mind riding with one on some once in a while or whatever. There are riding clubs that do just that, but I also want to experience the culture and lifestyle of motorcycle clubs.
Okay enough of a ramble. It's just something that I want to experience. I love the jackets too, but you can never wear one unless you're a member, that's like a cardinal sin.

Going to bed at 10:20am. Feel sick to my stomach with the way the game is being played. Just a very ugly game for NY, losing 5 to 0 in the bottom of the 6th.

The Yankees rallied from 5-0 to comeback and win 6-5. An improbable win. Awesome friggin game, glad to have watched every second of it. Ugly Texas Rangers fans were literally in tears, dejection is a beautiful thing sometimes. W (Bush) was there too chatting with Nolan Ryan (Texas Legend), they were smiling, joking and that furious Rally wiped the smiles off their faces.

Awoke and the first thing on my mind was the game. That's how awesome it was. Game 2 will begin in less than 9 hours from now and certainly ready for it. It's a best out of 7, so basically they need 3 more wins.
The matter at hand now is where to take my wife. It's evening now and day time activities are out. Need to find a place that is walking distance from a train station. The traffic can be mad during the weekends. Perfect place might have been indoor rock climbing but they close early on weekends, what's that about! I really dunno where to go. Guess better get ready first and think later.
Anyway. Here's an awesome pic found on the net with George W Bush and Nolan Ryan. Prior to this they were all giggly. It was a furious rally towards the end of the game, one that that literally wiped the smiles off their faces.

Home and chilling. Waiting for game 2 that should begin in little less than an hour. Had a great time with my chick earlier. My soul is pretty much baseball these days and decided to go to sports complex that has both baseball and softball batting cages. The atmosphere was great because it wasn't indoors but rather on the roof of a mega shopping complex. Was definitely cool batting balls on a roof. Great price, nice ambiance, was definitely a lot of fun. Those who don't know what a batting cage is, well it's basically a netted area where a machine throws baseballs at you. The speed of the ball varies and at this place they ranged from 40-70mph. So you put on a batting helmet, grab a baseball bat and swing at the pitches. It's challenging and you have to focus or else you'll miss everything. It can also sting a little especially when a ball hits the inside of the bat (closer to your grip) on a hard swing. It's like bowling, you got to focus and most importantly swing before the ball gets there, especially on faster balls.
You know when it comes to going out on dates with my wife. I enjoy these kinds of dates the most. I love to engage things and be active and I was doubtful that my wife would enjoy batting balls. But she absolutely loved it and got into it, when we finished our tokens, and had to get more, she wanted to bat first, and ended up batting more than I did for the night. She also wanted to show off a little because she made me take like 2 or so dozen pics so she can send to her family. Gave her some important pointers, because she was resting the bat on her shoulders and what that does is, it slows the swing down. You have to have the bat in position to react as quickly as possible to the coming ball.
Definitely in a zone now. Got my stock of tiger beer. Counting down the minutes. Love postseason baseball.

I will try to purge the negativity from my body. Sports does that. There's winning and then there's losing.
Being a Yankees' fan you're pretty much spoiled, it's a blessing actually. Many championships but it can also be a curse because you expect it each year. You guys remember doodlebug, she's a Red Sox fan, they hadn't won anything since 1918, and finally won in 2004, they also won 1 more title since then. Just saying how elusive/special it can be. Their 2004 parade had drew over 3 million ppl.
