I think we were more Nottingham borders. A friend of mine is from Bakewell (ooh, how posh!) and she sounds completely different - seems almost like a Lancashire twang.
Me duck is hilarious. Every time I hear my dad say that to my mum, you just know he's done something wrong and is trying to claw his way back into her good books
Friends was ace. Quite like Scrubs now but I think they axed it??

I loved Matlock but I hated the cable car! Been on once only - scared me to death. Once you get on it isn't like you can get off again til you get to the other end! Horrible!
But Matlock is gorgeous.
I don't remember going to Bakewell

Oh Matlock and Matlock Bath, sundays with all the motor bikes displayed, Fish Pond Pub, loved it!!
Went on the cable car as a kid, never again though!
Bakewell is like a picturesque postcard, quaint is probably the right word. Tiny little original Bakewell Pudding shop did a roaring trade too. Some nice craft shops I miss there too.
Got stuck in snow up there once, played in it, rolled in it, and froze all the way home in wet clothes

I am preparing food because today I am throwing a PARTY!! Well if it can be considered to be a party seeing as it's taking place during the day and there will be children present. There will be no vodka jellies. No house music.I do not expect the neighbours at the door telling us to keep it down or to go upstairs and find people making out under a pile of coats on my bed! Like what used to happen in my old party throwing days Most likely there will be 35 hyped up kids running riot around my house stamping pringles into my carpet. I suppose these will be the kind of "parties" I will be attending for the forseeable future! It's a bit of a belated housewarming/early christmas party meet the family and friends as Sam's parents are still here so may as well do it now.

Felt a bit like a donkey lugging that lot home and up 69 stairs so having a cuppa and sorting some good cleaning music.
Sheep without legs have gone now.

I love Greory Isaacs, god rest his soul. My favourite has got to be Rumours. Sam really loves Reggae and we tried very hard to get a Reggae band to play at our wedding and we really struggled to find one in Cairo and when we did they wanted 15,000 LE so instead we got some Egyptian dude who was worse than bad. After he has murdered about half a dozen of our favourite songs we had to ask him to leave. Waste of money!

Aww that's sad! I could have done you a great disco for a month with the music I have here!
Searching now for an oldie and can't for the life of me remember who it was or what it's called but part of it is playing in my head. Its a high pitched voice, like smokey or janet kay but not sure it's him or her, and it goes do DO do, (thats the tune not the words) then the rest eludes me bugging me cos I really like it but I have found loads more I forgot I had

Ah DG... Don't you just love the live entertainers here. I have endured many an hr listening to to folk who think they have talent and really don't lol... did you ever go to the Jazz Club? A haven for talentless crap. For a nation who love Bryan Adams, Elton John, Kylie and Celine what more can you expect!!!
To show another side to life here though, After Eight does attract the quality singers... ace night out if you can get in.
Anyway, today will consist of very little, I may not even bother to dress as once again... HOLIDAY.

Ferret you will never find that Arabian stallion if you don't go out, you will find many if you don't dress and go out though
I found the song I was looking for! Took me till the wee hours but more popped in my head to assist my search. Was by a group I have never heard of but seems I know most of their songs very odd.

Oh sweet naive Ayisha. I do go out... at night!!! All night
Vampires do more during the day than I do.
OBVIOUSLY, I am looking for an Arabian stallion but I think I would much prefer to groom and English stud
The Christmas Ball is just around the corner, perhaps my Prince Charming will be there!!!

Why would I chase an Egyptian when there is so much Western eye candy??? some folk just have no idea about life here!

Even felluccas bring on a thirst lol
I love this time of year, there is just so much to look forward to. And as everyone is off work for the holidays I have so many folk to play with.

Did I teach you nothing!!! running away is not an option and jealousy is a wasted emotion for the emotionally insecure
Jeez!!!
Christmas and New Year are pretty quiet as most folk go home, I alternate between here and the UK for Xmas and this year I am staying... and tbh, I don't think I could ever go back to the UK in the winter again! I am simply not a happy ferret in the snow!!!
The stores here are selling tinsel and trees and some stores are decorated already for christmas... it is odd watching a plastic santa melting in the heat!

ahahahaha. Funny. They're a bunch of whiners.
I have the A/C on, with a light blankey covering me, lazily laying on the sofa. Chance of getting on the treadmill or going for a swim this morning dropped from 85% to less than 20%.

I'm teasing you Micky. I know driving conditions can get treacherous, and certainly hope you're safe when driving home/work.
Check this out the only frost here is an indoor winterland park. 15 below. Had flooding yesterday though. My crib is in the hills, so no worries.
