Have my beautiful oldest daughter here from Sydney for a few days....cooked tofu stirfry for dinner as she's being a vege now. Any ideas for vege meals? Might have to be spinach and feta pie tomorrow.

Just off to my mothers to collect Grace. We had friends over for dinner last night so my mother kindly offered to have her stay over. It's the first time she has slept there and with all the wine we drank last night it was great to have a lie in this morning. Grandmas are the best. I want to buy her something lovely cos she does so much for me and Sam.

@Cheeky thanks for the suggestion. I bought something similar called “Family Ant Bait.” They don't just walk on it, they eat it, actually gobbling it up and then carrying some back to their nest. I think using these baits I can eradicate two colonies, one is huge, or one that enters from the outdoor portion of the kitchen. These ants are like “pharoah” ants, they are tiny and very annoying, they even go after toothpaste.
@Micky – nice to hear you had a wonderful day and evening with your sleepy head hubby I love those kinds of days the most. DVDs, dinner, love it.

That was confusing as pancake day is normally always in Feb, you're right though, it's today, they keep moving Easter around

Long drive to drop no1 daughter at airport. Got tears in my eyes at the news on the radio about Lybia. A couple of conversations today seemed to be around what we think is right(a booklet from a uni open day from 'socialist alliance'sparked it)and what happens in the world is not right or fair and how slow justice is if at all. We all seem to be of the belief democracies dont work atm. let alone the UN...

I eat a lot of eggs, recently bought some eggs, fresh. Did 2 poached with my dinner the other night, no bad smell, looked fine, nice whites as they were cooking etc. Ate one, lovely, cut into the other one and the yolk was black! WTF is that?
Put me right off eggs now

I've broken an egg before and it was full of blood. It does put you off! I was kind of traumatised by it for a while!

Worst thing about it was, I cracked it straight in a pan to fry it. I won't go into detail, but it was beyond disgusting

I felt violated, TBH. I didn't invite that into my home. It was like a scene from Carrie.
For a couple of months I'd walk down the homebaking aisle, see them sitting there in their boxes, trying to look all harmless and innocent... Well I wasn't falling for any of that...
My neighbour has his own chickens and those eggs are lush - loads have double yolks. Fresh eggs are ace - they fluff up in the pan. Nom nom.

Ahhh the weekdays. The beautiful tranquil weekdays. Just awoke about an hour ago. 2pm. Drinking ice water. Laying on my long comfy sofa. Wiggling my toes in sheer content. Waiting for my order of nasi goreng udang with a portion of spicy calamari. Nasi = rice, goreng = fried, udang = shrimp. There.... that was my good deed for the day, teaching 3 words.
Today's plan – search for a good series, DL it, watch it. The hard part is the search, so any recommendations are welcome. Plan B - movies.

Use Vuze to run a search, it runs a multi search for you and saves loads of time. My film recommendation of the week is Farce of the penguins. Very funny.
Lying in bed with a cuppa tea wondering why the hell I sleep so little!!!!
In a very pretty part of the world though and am rather content
